Ordered 2, one dinged in shipping and the other has a large crack in the log base and warped so that it will not sit level and one leg is loose and wobbles. On the other hand they do look and feel like authentic park benches.

I wrote an earlier review about Montana Woodworks using substandard shipping boxes which in turn caused damage to the shipped goods. In the past I have had to return some items and others were okay. They have gotten their act together as this bench came carefully wrapped and protected from shipping abuses. Did someone in the company study the problem and come up with an engineering plan that is exemplary? It would seem yes. Arriving in great condition it was everything promised. Looks great at the end of the log king bed I purchased from them two years ago. I am very happy and would purchase from them again. Well done Montana Woodworks!

I was looking for benches similar to those found on porches of NPS lodges and other park areas. These aren't similar to the park benches I wanted; they are the park benches I wanted. They are heavy, sturdy, and beautifully finished such that the wood is protected from the elements and your skin is protected from splinters. They came well packaged and quickly. I looked at various web-sites and Amazon had the best price, by far. Even the Montana Woodworks web-site was much more expensive. I am very happy.
