The best book for beginners
I always had 'assumed' that the head first -brain friendly guides were trivial & verbose, just by glancing at pages of the book. But this time, I somehow picked up a free copy and started reading it. I was stunned by the clarity this book brought to a new android developer. Pages go fast. But only in couple of days I started building simple apps. I think this is a great book. Absolute guide for a beginner. I do agree it gets verbose & repetitive at times. Language may not be compact. But that is what complete beginner needs. It is like a good trainer/tutor sitting next to you, letting your pace of learning and making sure you understand every bit of it along the way. I loved it and feeling so confident now.

Excellent Book - for beginners only
Book is good but my goodness, the packaging from this seller was pathetic!Even an Rs 100 mobile case has a better packaging than what this seller offered - just the amazon plastic wrapper, that's it! The book has a big bend over the upper corner due to poor packaging, caused by it's weight, maybe during transportation. If it wasn't for the book itself, I would given a low 1.

The title of book is little misleading
The title of book is little misleading , the book only covers android UI and Jetpack, but you never learn the nitty gritty of android development through this book.if you already know android development and your goal is to just learn layouts, UI components and navigation then this book might help.overall this book is not for someone looking to learn android development
