Do the two parts detach from each other easily when full of tea and in water? Does the tea fall out easily out of the holes?

I've used the Tulip with fruit tea. It doesn't come apart it is a good fit. The tea didn't come through the holes. I wouldn't imagine tea leaves would but I'm not sure.

Excellent buy for the super Mario fans out there. works perfectly for tea mug lovers. Portioning a bit big for tea cups.. looks great dipped into a transparent mug as it diffuses.Colour stays on after months of use, easy to rinse off after - no tea leaves stuck inside when rinsing off.

Sadly appearances are deceiving

How could you resist this fabulous looking tea strainer? I certainly couldn't. Unfortunately the sides don't meet, so a lot of the tea leaves escape making the tea undrinkable. Such a shame as it really looks awesome

This product looks great but the holes are too big, will only work with the chunkier of loose leaf tea otherwise all the smaller bits come out
