Bill Maher: But I'm Not Wrong

Bill Maher is know for his biting and irreverent style of observational humor. This stand up special may be a little bit dates, because it was made in 2010, but his jokes and rants still impact and make me laugh. People criticize him as unthinking, intolerant, or trite, but he observes, reports, and deconstructs aspects of American society in order to demonstrate the absurdity of them. The influences of George Carlin are evident in his routine and clearly enrich his performance.

I like Bill's sense of humor but this was not up to par... a bit too much of his laughing at his own stuff, pushing limits just to get a few chuckles... overall give this 3-Stars is overly generous but hell, you can't hit a home run every time your up to bat.

Ugh- 27 minutes in and I can't waste any more of my time on this. I enjoy his HBO show, and some of his past concerts. But in this one he just seems.....stoned. He's not funny, but he keeps chuckling and laughing to himself. And he doesn't demonstrate the energy I see in his TV show. Maybe it gets better later, but I'm on to something else.

Meh, IDK why but he's just not that funny in this one to me. When comics do bits about things that irritate them or really upset them, the bits are usually funny. In this it like something has got a hold of Bill and its not humorous but he just can't let it go.But my taste prefers Bill Maher from back in his Politically Incorrect days over these current Real Time days. Your taste will vary.

Good but not his best. He laughs too much at his own inner humor during the performance. I am a Bill Maher fan but not particularly of this performance. But everyone can't be perfect absolutely every time Will continue to watch his show and his performances.

I feel like this one is a complete waist of money. I barely cracked a smile and never actually found anything funny enough to muster up a laugh.

This program was funny BUT I didn't realize his vocabulary was severely limited, mainly his profanity got to be tiresome. I've always figured if you have to use profanity in stand-up routines, then maybe you better rethink your sense of humor. Using profanity doesn't make the jokes funnier !!! Of course, this is only my opinion, but my husband agrees with me.

I love Bill Maher, and even though this was over four years old when I saw it I thought it was still pretty relevant. I thought it was interesting to compare what he was saying into 2010 with what is going on now. I'm ready for some new Bill Maher.

Bill Maher is hilarious. I've already got RELIGULOUS and I'M NOT SWISS with the former dvd a brilliant documentary mocking religion.I'M NOT WRONG is very funny with Maher making fun of Sarah Palin, Michael Jackson, the Tom Cruise et al cult Scientology and much more.He's a genius.
