Wanting Mr. Cane

5+ stars!!!I read this book weeks ago and I'm STILL thinking about it!! Shanora Williams is one of my favorite authors for forbidden romance because she nails it every single time.Wanting Mr. Cane is a top read of the year for me. As some of you know, forbidden romance books are my favorite books to read and I'm picky about them. This author never disappoints. It had everything I look for in a good forbidden read. I love the angst, the sneaking around, the age gap, the super steamy (we feel guilty but not guilty enough to stop) sex scenes and the chance of getting caught. It's always hotter when you're not supposed to be doing it!This story is about a girl and her dad's best friend. I loved it so much because it started when she was very young. In the beginning it was an innocent crush and it shows how her feelings develop as she gets older. It was very real and it didn't come off as cheap and dirty. This is a love story.I was not prepared for some things that happened and was left dying to see what happens in the next book! Love love LOVED IT!!!!

I was introduced to Shanora William's books by my cousin. Since we both have a DEEP love for forbidden romances she urged me to check out Dear Mr. Black. After I finished that book, I just knew that Shanora had a knack for writing forbidden romances. I STILL wasn't prepared for Wanting Mr. Cane! When I say that this book has absolutely engulfed me (in the best way possible) this week I'm NOT exaggerating. When a book hooks you in so completely that you get attached to secondary characters almost as much as the primary ones, you've got yourself a good book!Kandy and Cane's (isn't it PERFECT!) story is full of emotion and pure sexy goodness. Cane is an inked up millionaire who just so happens to be Kandy's father's best friend. Now, I don't want to say too much because this book is one you need to unfold page by page, but, one of my favorite elements of this story is the banter that goes on between Cane and Kandy. You truly get to watch as their relationship builds and the angst that comes along with every secret randevu. The tension in this book is HOT. The sex in this book is freaking unbelievable. The characters are phenomenal!It's very rare for me to care just as much about a secondary character as I do a primary one. Shanora is able to make you feel and empathize for characters beyond Kandy and Cane which made this book even better. There was truly never a boring moment in this book. The description, the dialogue, the steamy hot sex scenes and the angst all just work together in the most beautiful of ways. Even if you aren't a lover of forbidden romances, this book will still hook you in. It's just that good!5 out of 5 stars!Seriously, this book is not to be missed. Shanora Williams knows how to pull you in and keep you there and have you on your toes the ENTIRE way. Add it to your TBR immediately!

I enjoyed the story line but as I was reading I came across grammar mistakes and mistakes about details. I purchased the second book because I liked the story line and was left with a cliffhanger.
