Reckless Devotion: 365 Days into the Heart of Radical Love Paperback – August 5, 2014

Will you pray??? (Calling all my prayer warriors. Much love to everyone who reads this. I believe that when someone asks you to pray for them, you pray because prayers are free and should be given wholeheartedly! I decided to do this today because I'm standing in the need of prayer and so many others are as well. Let's pray for each other today, regardless of who or what your spiritual foundation! All prayers needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to kindly copy and paste this status for one hour to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of all my family and friends just for moral support. Praying for several families and people in need!Amen! Praying right now.I am doing this for a friend that I love.You can do it for those you love as well.Lord manifest Your glory in the lives & circumstances of Your people! Each day is only a few pages of reading. The readings are from their missionary work. For example, Heidi was late for a meeting and saw a woman sitting in the hot sun. This woman was born blind. She was an out cast and had no name. Heidi gave her an name and had another woman who was nearby call her that name. Heidi told the woman about Jesus and prayed for her healing. Jesus gave her sight! I used the devotional in the respect as what would I have done. Would I have concern for the woman or was my meeting with my ministry staff more important? If a miracle was needed, would I take the step of faith or shrink back? This devotional for me was more about how I would do as an ambassador of Jesus when what Heidi or Rolland did. There were frequently time where two or three days in a row shared the same theme. The book centered around their time as missionaries in Africa and the challenges that they faced evangelizing.

I’m so sad the year is almost done. Boy, the Lord knew exactly what I needed for 2020!!! Heidi and Rolland have allowed us on their journey of faith, miracles and God’s love. My heart is so full and only wish there was another 365 devotional that will match this one. Deeply convicted daily as the Lord spoke to me through their words. Thank you, Heidi and Rolland for your faithfulness!

Reckless Devotion: 365 Days into the Heart of Radical Love" lives up to and beyond the title. Heidi captures and shares what she has experienced in her Reckless Devotion to God's work. I have followed Heidi Baker for many, many years. Although I have never met her our paths have crossed many times with other great men and women of God. C. Peter Wagner, Cindy Jacobs, Jack Coe, Oral Roberts and others. I was so impressed with "Reckless Devotion" I emailed Heidi and shared a very special connection with the Devotion for that specific day. A young lady, a student in my public school classes and a member of my congregation was at the football game that same night. She had just returned from an extended period of time as an intern with Heidi in Africa. That made the day for this 80 year old missionary.

I bought several of Heidi’s books after seeing her on Sid Roth’s IT’S SUPERNATURAL. Her walk w/Jesus and guidance by The Holy Spirit inspires and motivates all Deeper Seekers to enter TheRiverOfLife beyond ankles, knees and waist-deep water for God to have control rather than ourselves. It has changed my teaching and prayer ministries from detailed outline formats to FREEDOM and CONFIDENT PEACE that HE will speak to me and through me according to the needs He wants to address. I still prepare and study my material, but it’s really my bowed💓that must be prepared to hear when He speaks! Heidi’s walk can impact your walk w/fresh and powerful applications!

Reckless Devotion by Roland and Heidi Baker is one of the best devotions book I have ever gone through. It takes you through an entire year of heart to heart encouragement on growing into a deeper, closer, and more surrendered life. Their lives are an example I can learn from because I see so much of Jesus in what they say and more importantly - do. Get this book and read it faithfully and prayerfully every day and you will experience the grace that will transform you into the image of Jesus.

The best "devotional" I've ever read. I have several, each with a different emphasis, and some of them are really good. I don't use the same one every day, and many days I don't use one at all, I just have my time with the Lord and the Word without a "devotional" book. This one is the best of all.Heidi and her husband Rolland are the real deal, and it shows in this devotional. Their words touch the "First Love" part of my heart and make me want to live a surrendered life for Jesus and His Kingdom.I cannot recommend it enough. I will warn you, though...... if you read this with a surrendered heart and you'll never be the same. There is no telling what magnificent things God might do with your life.

This devotional will stir a person's heart for a deeper love relationship with Jesus, and God's heat for the list and lonely. I highly recommend it.

yes, this book met my expectations many times over. I have not found any set plan how to read it, sometimes going back where I started and very often reading here and there. Whatever method I use I find this book so fulfilling and inspiring. It has captured all my thoughts. Purchased another book by Heidi, but have not started to read it yet, because still clued to this one! I am realizing every day more and more, what an amazing God we have! -Blessings! -Tatjana-

Heidi and Rolland Baker live out the Gospel of Christ with authenticity in their work with the poorest of people. Their daily devotionals, which are full of the love of God, are encouraging and challenging as they share their experiences of the presence of God in their lives in the most difficult times as well as the easier times. I am using it for the second year as it helps me to focus on what is important, that is, abiding in the love of God, allowing His love to shine through us to others, and expecting God to "show up" (their phrase) as we seek to serve Him and be channels of His love in our daily lives.

Hubby and I are reading this wonderful devotional together every morning and finding it invaluable in focussing our thoughts before praying together. A useful addition is that every 7 days there is a 'recap' of the subject covered that week. Totally recommended to anyone wanting to improve their family devotional time

Wonderful in encouraging to believe what God can do and powerful the Lord is if only we all believed it fully for times such as these.

This devotional is truly inspiring and down to earth like Heidi herself. It's all or nothing as we believe and trust in His goodness to heal, provide and strengthen our faith, especially in the storms of life. This book will build your faith to continue to hope and trust in His Love and compassion for needy hearts.
