VXDIAG VCX Nano Compatible for Ford/Mazda 2 in 1 Diagnostic and Programming Tool

People who can’t get this to work literally have not taken the time to Google a how to.The first time I plugged this in and downloaded the software it tells you to I didn’t much understand what was happening. It didn’t work correctly either.Turns out you have to find a patched version of Ford ids and use it which is like the second google result. This tool works amazing for everything you need to do diagnostic wise and YES YOU CAN REPROGRAM MODULES with it through the dealer software! It works wonderfully. Totally worth the money. Saved me 2600 bucks because the Ford dealer kept telling me they wouldn’t sell me a power steering module and that I needed a whole new rack and pinion. I reprogrammed my power steering control module and that instantly fixed my car. 9/10 because the software they provided didn’t work but the hardware itself is great.

I was expecting a hard time setting this up based on the reading I've done online but it honestly wasn't that bad. I used the free VMWare player and made a few VMs so I wouldn't have to start from scratch if I screwed up. Got it working GREAT on a 2015 hybrid c-max and 2017 F-150 with I-D-S 114.01 and Win10. Module programming worked without a hitch and it even goes online to get the latest calibrations. Tried to use it on a 2000 mercury sable and ran into the pin 13 problem as another reviewer mentioned. Apparently some older PCMs need +18V applied to pin 13 of the OBDII connector and this device does not do that. The seller tried to help (and was quick to respond) but admitted it would not work no matter what software I used. BTW this works great for FORScan as well using the J2534 pass-through function. If you have a later model Ford/Merc buy this without hesitation. If you are in the early to mid 2000's you might want to pass.

Disc did not work had to download file from email had software issues and had to backdoor some files to get ids to work was not able to program modules with ids software given.luckily i am a nerd and was able to get it to work.

The key to getting this to work right is VXManager from allscanner. It sets up the right driver and allows the VCX Nano to work within Forscan and Ford FJDS as a J2534 pass thru device. I heard rumors that aftermarket 2534 devices can't program on the MS CAN bus with FJDS, but I found that to be untrue as this VCX Nano worked fine with a valid FJDS license. Don't bother using the software that they include on the discs. This device actually works faster than Obdlink MX and ELM327 devices with Forscan. FJDS is the new version of Ford Module Programming, and the interface is clunky like IDS. FJDS does not have the same level of diagnostics as IDS but if you need to program modules, change some parameters, etc... FJDS does the trick for most newer Fords. This is a great alternative to buying an expensive VCM2 for programming modules or running diagnostics with Forscan., basically for home use. The pros will want to stick with VCM2 and an IDS license.

It comes with no instructions at all. I had to keep emailing the company to try to get it to work. I finally gave up and sent it back. Seems crazy to have no installation instructions for this product.

Awesome. Now I have Ford dealer level diagnostic and programming capability for my 2010 Lincoln MKT and 1999 F150. Was able to read codes, do some diagnostic functions, and program a new smart key for my MKT. Haven't delved into the module programming yet. I am running this on an ancient Dell D630 laptop running Win7 32 bit. It's a bit of a PITA to get this installed and operating. Here's what I did:Changed the time zone on my computer to Beijing time zone (not sure if this is necessary or not)Installed a copy of VMWare PlayerCopied the contents of the CD to my computer desktopOpened VMWare and created a new virtual machine, selecting the VM file that I transferred to my desktop (largest file in the folder)Edit virtual machine settings to increase RAM usage to 2gb (it runs very slow with any less)Play virtual machine file (mine was FORD IDS V107 EN)Connect the VCX Nano via USB cableWhen the VM opens, click "Player" in the top left of the window and scroll down to removable devicesMy adapter was called "Future Devices USB Serial Converter" in the windowClick Connect (Disconnect from Host)Wait for the Virtual Machine to loadPlug the adapter into your carClick IDS in the virtual machine window and connect to your vehicleYou're in!Make sure to watch some videos or read about IDS functions so you don't break anything as this software has the capability to erase and reprogram modules. Now you never have to pay Ford to diagnose your car again! This is cheaper than one hour of diag time at the dealer.

Attempted to get this for pulling data and potentially updating pcm on 2013 Ford escape. Can't get this to work on the laptop though. It requires multiple software updates and constant issues. Never could get it to connect and read data despite googling answers for hours.Eventually gave up. If your familar with the whole setup process, this might work for you. ::shrug::

Great item for the price. Works as described by seller.I baught this scan tool in order to do work on a project 2005 F150. I have many Scan tools for work from the autel ms 908 to snap on Modi's, but dealer level Scan tools are a must and this tool delivered 100% satisfaction.I will be purchasing the other versions from seller and will recommend this tool.

So a locksmith came by to add a second key to my car as I only had one and he somehow managed to immobilised my car and left my sitting there wondering what happened, spare of the moment I got this sent out and used the links they supplied to download everything with instructions and I got the car running in about 10 minutes and also programmed a new instrument cluster from an FPV F6! Even checked for any updates to my cars firmware and everything! I was over the moon!

Would not recommend, wasted an entire weekend trying to get it to work. Would rather spend more money and get something reliable and easy to install
