It really is better than bouillon. I like all the flavors, which you can find easily in grocery stores. The lobster flavor is difficult to find. It makes a delicious lobster or shrimp bisque. I also use it to make a cauliflower and shrimp hot dish that is amazing.

Good value for price of two. Definitely adds the Lobster flavor to a good chowder. I might try making a soup or some lobster mac and cheese. Two year shelf life, good. Better Than Boullion is my favorite base in any flavor.

I have written reviews about this and I don't love writing reviews. I do want to say I think it's overpriced I hope the price goes down. That being said I have ordered three types I've better than bouillon and I am now ordering again. Now that I have it it seems like it's Irreplaceable and it does the job and it makes things taste amazing the way they should. Yes it's bullion and yes it's salty but you are in control of the amount of salt because you are the one putting it in whatever you're cooking. I had bought a bunch of seafood from Alaska and Company and took a chance and it made the most amazing bisque and I found other ways to use it with fish as well. I hope the price comes down because I really enjoy this product and I hope as people get more familiar with it and buy it more the price will come down. The other portion of the program is I use it very sparingly and it does a great job so it should last you. The reason it's not lasting me is because I cook quite often and I'm not only cooking for myself but it is getting used because it makes things taste amazing and that's the real bottom line.

A bit on the salty side but packs a nice lobster taste. Add it to lobster sauces and the like with a bit of caution. Too much can be too much so omit any called for salt until after you've added this.

This was awfully wrong. I have been using "Better than Bouillon" for years. This SPECIFIC concoction is my go-to for poached Salmon. It's hard to find it where I live so I found it and ordered it on Amazon. The box came properly sealed and it was pristine...no damage, dirt, tears or scuff marks. Nothing loose inside...a good packing job. When I opened the box, the product (2 glass jars) was tightly packed and very secure in bubble wrap...not much room at all for the product to move around or shake loose or anything. They were stacked...bottom of 1 jar packed to the cap of the second jar. When I cut the packing, I found what can only be classified as malicious; out of the case, each jar is sealed with paper foil so you can see the top has not been opened. The tops on BOTH jars were opened...the one on the bottom had torn seals which showed the cap was TWISTED OPEN, a purposeful act designed to get the desired effect. The top jar had been popped straight up, past the screw-top. The seal was not torn as if the top was twisted...it was forced straight up. Product had leaked all over the inside of the little space created by the bubble wrap, all over the outside of the jars and over the caps. I've never seen this before and can only attribute this to a malicious act. If it's not, I'd love to hear it explained. To add insult to injury, there's no refund and no return. So I'm on the hook for the $18 the two overpriced jars cost me. I am INCENSED !!!

Absolutely essential for my Lobster Bisque. Not sure why they stopped selling these in the store.
