High Quality Palette
I sincerely love this palette. I generally work on smaller pieces and this configuration allows me to mix the colors I need in my compact work space and take it with me when traveling. The weight makes it sturdy, the true white allows the watercolor to shine through and the smooth surface is a breeze to clean.

High quality, great price, excellent for studio work, not recommended for traveling
I have started using watercolors and gouache in my work, a palette was very much needed. Several are made of synthetic polymers, but I prefer something more sturdy, and natural materials are always better than plastic. When I found out there were ceramic palettes I started researching and found this one. I will describe the elements that I find important: 1. Packaging - As a ceramic product you do not want it to break in transit. I was delighted with the packaging. The box is made of thick cardboard, it feels sturdy, it is colorful and well-designed (if you care for that, I do). Easy to open. Inside the palette is well protected by styrofoam. 2. Size, Weight, and Design - For working in my studio this one is excellent, at a 7" x7" size and 8 wells with 2 different sizes, this palette was perfect for my needs, considering I am a beginner. This palette is sitting on my work table and I am not moving it around too much. With 1.26 lb (almost 600 gr) and on the thick side, it will not be knocked or flipped easily, which I love. It stays in place. This is not a palette you hold in your hand for too long. It is not a bright white color, but a nice creamy white. It is ceramic and as such has a nice natural feel to it and cleans easily. 3. Durability - The palette is of great quality. It is really sturdy, this is not for traveling unless you are planning to set up shop somewhere. If you are going for a hike and having an impromptu watercolor moment, I would recommend a smaller one, which have not found yet (at least ceramic ones). I think that unless I drop it with force on a hard floor this palette will last a very long time. And all of this for $14.95 is a great deal Summary: Great quality, great price, excellent for studio work, not recommended for traveling. As it suits my needs 100% I give it 5 stars.

Nice compact size
Really like the size and variety of mixing wells. I use this tray when I travel to visit my daughter. I am a big fan of ceramic for mixing watercolors. Doesn’t stain and cleans up easily.

Nice deep wells for mixing
This product is the answer. I have a nice, closable plastic palette with a removable mixing tray, that I really like. The problem is that the mixing area is shallow and creating a wash requires a lot of area. I went looking for a tin palette, but all were really small, or even metal trays to use as mixing areas. I came upon this ceramic palette (the eight-compartment version) and bought it. It is a really good product. Well made, solid, smooth ceramic, especially on the bottom where it could scratch a table if it was not well finished. The wells are deep enough to mix a good quantity of paint and keep the mixes separate. It is a great addition to my setup and I would buy it again if it broke.

Very well made
This ceramic palette is perfect for mixing various pigments to acheive the various tints you'll need for your watercolor paintings. I find the 8 wells to be more than enough. I've used it long enough to know it has not stained even though I left some mixes in it overnight (they dried out... lol) The ceramic glazing is perfectly applied (no bubbles, etc.) It does not rock due to an uneven bottom. Very well madI'm pleased and fully recommend it.

Easy clean up, works better than plastic
If you've ever had paint refuse to move from your paint brush onto your palette, you were probably using a new plastic palette. This ceramic palette has no such problem, even on day one. Granted, it's a bit heavier to lug about than plastic. In addition, the clean-up is a breeze, with even colors known to stain easily rinsing away. I would recommend for watercolor or gouache color mixing. The spots are generous in size.

Wish I bought this sooner
I have been using plastic mixing trays and palates for my acrylic paint mixing for quite some time. One day when cleaning up and rinsing my water cups (old ceramic mugs), I thought wouldn’t it be nice if they had mixing palates made out of ceramic. What a simple cleanup that would be. I ran some searches and found these. This size was a little larger than I realized it would be, but so great for holding my paints I am using and ample mixing areas. This also works well with water colors. For an “on the go” palate, I would lean towards a smaller round/daisy shaped palate. That will be my next one (soon) for travel to paint club and water color use. The quality of this brand has been top notch for the palate I received, and it was very well packaged to avoid damage. I recommend this for durability and ease of cleanup. Just keep in mind it is still ceramic cans like a mug will chip and break if dropped.

A Wonderful Small Mixing Pallette
This 8-well mixing pallette from Meeden has helped me level up my paint mixes by giving me dedicated mixing wells (which helps me control things a bit). The ceramic palette is extremely well-built, with pretty thick walls and bass and feet on the bottom of the pallet to help to prevent it from moving around (although honestly the weight of the palate, while not overly heavy, is also enough to hold it in place while painting). I have been absolutely thrilled to add this to my tools in my small home studio.

The MEEDEN 8-well ceramic paint palette is such an upgrade from plastic ones. The porcelain surface is smooth and easy to clean, so paint doesn’t stain or stick, and colours mix really well against the bright white background. The size is practical, with plenty of room in each well while still being compact enough to fit neatly on a desk. It has a nice weight to it, so it stays put while working, and it feels really sturdy and durable. Overall, it’s a high-quality palette that makes painting feel more professional.

Great quality, perfect size. I use two for my watercolours and it's much more compact than my last trays. I prefer ceramic to plastic.

The underside of the center of the palette is slightly more prominent than the corners. Because of this, the "feet" of the palette are not level, which means the palette will wobble if set on a flat surface.
