This genuine plunge saw blade is the best. Previously, I used an S-brand blade with a spider design on my circular saw and was very satisfied with it, so I tried using the same blade on my plunge saw. However, since it wasn’t a blade designed specifically for a plunge saw, it flexed, and the middle section of my track got slightly cut. I know the rubber guard plays a more important role than the guide rail edge itself, but it still doesn’t sit well with me. Lol. I’ll just think of it as a lesson fee.

I used this on the Kreg track saw. It has a very nice smooth cut and worked, however, the cut is too thin for the Kreg riving knife, when cutting the riving knife would catch when it enters the wood and stop the blade. (Took me a while to figure out what I was getting hung up on). It worked when cutting very thin pieces were the riving knife could bend the wood away, and also when used in plunge mode.

Great blade for for finishers

This blade cuts very nicely. It's the third blade we've bought for our Makita track saw that gets almost daily use and I noticed right away that it was faster than the blade Makita includes with the saw. Should've got it instead of the standard replacement blade the first time. I'm sure Makita put some thought into the tooth design, because they look a bit different than other blades, but I think it cuts quicker mostly due to it being much thinner. Less wood is being removed, so the saw is having to do less work, so it cuts quicker. However, something to keep in mind... Unless you use this with a brand new track saw rail, the thinner kerf means your cut line isn't exactly were the rubber edge is anymore. I might try to add a washer to fix this, but honestly it's not a big deal.
