Best Bible I've owned so far!
I'll preface this by saying that I've only had this bible for a few hours, so I really haven't had a chance to thoroughly read it and get a true idea of how much I'm going to like it - but, so far, I'm absolutely loving it. I was really hesitant to spend $50 on a Bible, because after all, the Word of God is the Word of God, and how it's dressed up doesn't change what it is. The outside binding and covers are very well done. There's an embossed Rosary on the back, which I think is a beautiful touch. Every 50-ish pages is a couple of full color glossy pages highlighting various teachings of the Church, along with Scripture and CCC readings to back it up. Before each paragraph in each book is a title that introduces what you're about to read (i.e. Psalm 60: Lament after Defeat in Battle). There's tons of footnotes, end notes, annotations, historical references. The back has a couple pages that breaks down (in simple paragraph form) the various stages of the Mass, and the reasons behind them. There's a list of readings too for Year A, B, and C. Each book has a "highlight" on the flip side of each page letting you know what book you're in, like a tab divider but without the tab. At the top corner of the page, it lists "OT" or "NT" so you can tell at a glance where you are. The margins on the inside of the pages are wide enough that you don't have to break the book in half to read the text - big plus for me (I hate having to break the spine on a book to read the text!)Again, I stress the fact that I've only owned this for a few hours or so (and I'm at work, so I haven't gotten to REALLY dive deep into it). But, from what I've seen so far, I'm very pleased with it, DEFINITELY happy that I got it, and strongly recommend it. Like any Christian, I own several Bibles, but this one honestly feels like "THAT Bible" - the one your grandmother always had on her night stand filled with pencil marks and highlights and church bulletins. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting not only the Word of God, but all the annotations and helpful things packed into it.

This Bible is easy to read, if you dont have a copy of The Catechism of the Catholic Church you will want to get one, this Bible has reference to it with each question and it has the answer to many questions we all have thought about and many Bible passages with the answers, I love the footnotes, anyone will be pleased to own this Bible, has Rosary on back cover!

Can't stop reading it!
The cover was busted in a few places but when I sent it back to be replaced it was done in a timely manner.I was looking for a Catholic bible that had all 77 books. It's a beautiful bible that you can understand! It's hard to put down and great to read. Even more when reading with another. The was given to 3 of my sons as a gift and one for myself!

HOLY CATHOLIC BIBLE
My son LOVES this Bible :) He said its the nicest one he has seen for sometime. The quality says it for itself. I would recommend this Bible to anyone and the price is right. If he loves it, so do I :) and to say, the embrossed rosary on the back binder makes it so much easier to say the rosary.

Not large print!!!
Just received this Bible today and was very disappointed to see it is not large print...the question and answer pages were large print but the scriptures were a small print with the notes even smaller..The photo shows what I mean...very disappointing!!!

Not really large print...no Kindle
I cannot fathom why there isn't an eBook version of this considering how many years this Bible has been out. It severely limits the usefulness of this Bible. It is just barely easier reading than the Dead Sea Scrolls. The large print edition should be more aptly named 'slightly larger print than our regular edition' and should still come with a fenzel lense for reading. For us people who need glasses to read, you might get by with your 2.50 readers. After that, the contents are great. They have done a decent job at laying out the Bible. There are plastic tabs that can be added to make thumbing more easy. But again dont expect a Reader's Digest large print. It is still going to be tough read with the small font used in the large print...IT IS THE 21ST CENTURY---WHY NO ELECTRONIC VERSION!!!!!

Easy to read
Would have liked to have the words of Jesus printed in red. We use the Bibles for our Bible study class.
