Crime Scene Photography

One author put this volume together with specific help from other specialist and is generally on the mark but I noticed a lot of grammatical errors and the authors personal style is more directed to a high school audience than to college students or above. Still, it's definitely a keeper and sits on the bottom shelf due to its physical size and weight.Reviewing the bibliography, it is noticeable that the resources are 10, 15 sometimes 20 years old. Good foundation but guess not a lot of people are writing current books with more recent data. This doesn't detract in any way from the book but when there is one primary author, the presentation seems more personal and less "professional"..

Great as informative content! Unfortunately the example photos inside the textbook in the one I got often printed blurry or off-color. I could understand what was being taught, but it would be nice to have clear images for learning crime scene photography techniques.

I bought this for a class. The book came on absolutely great condition. Shipping was fast. The book itself is interesting in its contents and valuable if you want to know specific details of the function behinds certain things in the camera and how they affect shots.Definitely glad I decided to buy it rather than to rent it

This is an excellent book if you work in the LE field and want to improve your crime scene photographing abilities. The book is very in depth. It includes practical exercises. It is a recommended book by the IAI for Certification.

I am only in chapter 1 and already want to toss this book. The author is all over the place and bounces from one time period/topic to another, then back. There is no coherent timeline in covering the history of photography in this chapter. The text is very dry, and sandwiched in between so many links it's annoying to sort through. The big problem, though, is that an academic textbook is relying on, and quoting as sources in the many supporting links, answers.com and wikipedia pages.

I actively use this book and the editions prior for my work. It is very comprehensive (and very heavy;-) so i bought the digital edition as well. It arrived quickly.

Fantastic law enforcement photography book. Recommended In many training places. Easy to follow.
