This battery is well made, fits perfectly...and it includes some of the tools you need to actually get to the internal battery area (a very nice touch!).Note that, like any internal laptop battery, after you replace it your laptop will complain the first time you boot it that CMOS memory checksum is wrong. This is totally to be expected, as the main battery IS the CMOS battery. You'll want to go into the BIOS settings (push F10 immediately after you power on) and check that everything (including date and time) is what you want...as soon as you reboot, all will be well.Also note that if you leave your laptop plugged in all the time (you never discharge the battery), after 10 months or so it will look like it's discharging a bit. This "drift" is harmless: just run your laptop for an hour or so on battery, then plug it back in. The battery will return to 100% charge.

Battery fit great and all mounting whole lined up. The exact tools that came with it were the right size.. This made the repair / upgrade EASY !!!

The seller refunded me for the original purchase of the battery and shipped me a new one for free, I just installed it and it is working great. Thank you!

The battery was rather simple to install and was a perfect fit. I am not certain if the charge lasts as long as the original battery when it was new but it is fine.

Edit 2: Removing the sticker reveals three 515974HV-N cells. The datasheet (search it) specs these at 3600mAh, NOT the 4835mAh as advertised. Probably same as all other vendors are doing, can't speak for them, but be advised you're getting 34% less capacity than what you're being sold. This explains the reviews complaining about subpar battery life. It's a common tactic that I've found with most replacement batteries (except Anker, who doesn't sell this particular battery) on Amazon and eBay. Also, my battery has a strong chemical smell after being stored in its replacement's box until I had time to deconstruct it safely. That's more dangerous than a puffy battery, as it indicates one or more battery cells are not properly sealed.Edit: 14 months in, dead as a doornail. As soon as the power is unplugged, the laptop dies. Really disappointing, as it worked so well at the beginning.Original: OEM battery was swollen, and had just a few minutes of life. This dropped in directly, and works fine. I typically keep my laptop plugged in, and only unplug to move. 6 months later it's still working as it should.

My laptop battery swelled and I couldn't use it. I finally purchased this replacement battery. I had NO issues. It worked perfect.

My HP Envy laptop - which I LOVE - was not holding a charge anymore. I always had to be plugged in which of course defeats the purpose of having a laptop. I really thought I was going to have to start shopping for a new one as this one is older and HP didn't sell batteries for it anymore. I thought I'd give this battery a shot since it was a great price and I took it to Best Buy for them to install. My laptop is back to its brand new self again and I am thrilled. I'm actually thinking of getting a back up one just in case because other than the battery issue this laptop is in terrific shape. If your thinking of buying this I say do it, you wont regret it.

Replacement for a swelling OEM battery. Super easy install and powered the laptop right up. Time will tell on how it holds its charge. Will update after it has some time on it.
