This is an excellent soap for those of us who have little to no tolerance for soaps with fragrance and other skin-enhancing ingredients. I recently tried one of Dove's moisturizing soaps. I had an allergic reaction to the soap's ingredients. I remembered a doctor had recommended basis soap many years ago. My skin feels smoother and I've not had a reaction to this soap. I use it as both facial and body soap with excellent results. The fragrance of the soap's ingredients is pleasant and barely perceptible. I had been using Dead Sea Minerals Olive Oil soap, which was okay, but it dried my skin. For me, basis is the best soap for my skin.

I've tried just about everything for my sensitive skin. My doctor prescribed this soap for me over 15 years ago and I have never had a problem. I definitely recommend this soap if you have sensitive skin issues.

Basis remains the only choice for effective cleaning with no additives. I have tried a variety of products for over 30 years when Basis was not available, but I now buy in bulk. This works.

My wife [80 years old] has extremely dry and sensitive skin and this is the first soap that she feels softens and helps with dry skin. She has recommended it to several of her friends. It is hard to find and for her Amazon is the best source.

Some years ago I was directed by an MD toward this soap for general use...as it is not harsh and it is fragrance free.I will not use another soap. It is almost impossible to find in stores now. With this..I am glad to find it on Amazon.
