I bought two (work/home). Great for the quick afternoon fix.

In the two dozen times used to brew 1-2 cups (6-12 oz.) of coffee, I was successful only twice to have a result anywhere near full flavor of press pot coffee brewed in a reasonable time. I have been very careful to grind beans to the proper texture. I have cleaned the unit completely.After these cleanings, water pours through as it would with a paper filter in a drip pot. After adding the coffee to the wet cone and putting in a central depression, followed by a little water and waiting for the bloom before adding more water, the first ounce brews properly. Additional water traverses very slowly drop by drop.On reaching six ounces, I warm the barely tepid coffee in a microwave oven. My coffee mentor has purchased three models, each at a different price. He has found, despite the price, they all slow up significantly. I hope there is a solution to replicate the two good experiences. The cleanup is much much easier than with press pot.
