This stuff is Amazing!!
I don’t write many reviews, but I had to in this case!! Today I discovered my daughters had colored with marker on their brand new Pottery Barn bedspread- several scribbles in black ink ended up on the fabric. I thought all hope was lost when I used 2 of the top brand stain removers with no luck. I grabbed the Goof Off and it instantly went to work dissolving the stain. I ran the fabric under hot water and continued to apply more, gently agitating it with my fingers. After less than 5 minutes the stain was GONE!! On white fabric. Just amazing. This stuff should be in every parent’s laundry room!

Don't worry! The over spray will come off.
First let me give you the reason I ended up buying this product. I was staining my deck with a sprayer and could not properly put up the plastic because I was by myself and with calm winds and slight gusts. The plastic was thin and would blow around with the slightest breeze. I decided to wait for the Mrs. to get home and complete that area later. I started on the farthest area of the deck and was pretty impressed with the results being it was my first time doing this type of thing with a sprayer. It was super quick and kinda fun. I ran out of the solid stain I was using and went to get more when I noticed the overspray went a lot further than I anticipated. I was all over the side of the house. A lot of it to boot. So much that I said screw it and just stained the whole deck with no protection on the siding. I know mistake, should have still waited and put up the plastic.Well off to the great knowledge of the internet on how to remove this stain of my siding. The stain is Olympic Maximum 10 yr solid stain acrylic latex.I emailed Olympic and there suggestion didn't even do anything which included sanding the siding. (REALLY?) After hours of reading nonsense I settled on three products. Spray Nine, It did more than Olympics suggestion but didn't do enough, however I think it found a permanent place in my arsenal for around the house cleaning. Good stuff. Motsenbocker's lift off graffiti remover, this stuff works with the same method I will describe for the Goof Off. Goof Off just seemed to work better. We ended up choosing Goof Off as the "winner" of these three products. Here's why. The Mots(motsenbocker's lift off) is runnier and does not adhere to the surface as good and creates more drips. It also has a caustic sensation when you breath some of it in. Makes you choke. Also when scrubbing, it seemed it took longer to get the same results as Goof Off. Having said that the Mots does work just need a little more effort. My wife being a Chemical Engineer by schooling and 20 years as a Process Engineer I kinda gave her the look of "OK! Now what?" I was expecting she would go in the kitchen and become a mad scientist. Her professional opinion was, to my dismay, "spray some of that stuff on there and see what happens". Good thing is though I am yet again reassured that NOT spending the cost of a house on my education was the right decision.Ok here is how the wife and I cleaned the dark red stain off of our white vinyl sided house.1) Spray the Goof Off on one lap of siding about a meter long (3ft or so). Just enough to get it wet. Do not let it dry or your beating a dead horse. The directions say let it sit. Instead of letting it sit by itself take a toothbrush a lightly scrub the area, with the grain and a couple circles here and there, while the chemical is doing its thing. This will aid in the chemical working faster and getting into the grain of siding. This will also aid in not letting it settle or dry as fast. You will start to see it "working". Do this for a minute or two. Time will vary with amount of stuff on the siding.2) Spray the area again with just enough to get it wet. Using a Spic and Span wash brush (that's the name on the brush itself. We got it at wal mart a while back.) I say this brush only because it was the most effective for this application. We tried an assortment of brushes that we specifically purchased for this project and the Spic and Span one was the most effective by far. Start scrubbing with the grain applying a decent amount of pressure. You will soon learn how much pressure is needed. You will see the stain "spots" start to erode off the siding and that's called progress. Keep scrubbing applying more pressure for the stubborn ones. Eventually it will come clean and when you think it's clean enough just wipe it off with a paper towel. If you notice it start to dry up or settle spray it down again just enough to make it wet otherwise when you wipe it off you will have a smeared stain. If you do get a smeared stain don't worry just spray and scrub again. Just extra work.3) Repeat. This is monotonous and a little labor intensive. I have found no other method that works. To break it up I do a section about a meter long horizontally and vertically as high as needed. Complete this area and then do another section the next day or whenever one feels like it. Goal is to have it done before winter.Things that did not work? Pressure washing, Pressure washing after letting the chemical sit, mineral spirits, sanding, staring at it wishing it would just go away, waiting and seeing if your wife would just do it and ignoring it. These ideas didn't work for me.I wrote this because I didn't find any other method that worked as good in the hours of "research" I did. If someone knows better please let me know.

Magic in a bottle
After my toddler got hold of a permanent marker and scribbled all over my brand-new tile, I was furious. Desperate to fix the damage, I jumped on Amazon to find a solution. This product arrived the same day, and it worked instantly—like magic! I couldn’t believe how quickly the stains disappeared. I wish I had taken a before photo to share, but I was too upset at the time. This stuff is incredible!

Does the trick
I wanted a cheaper alternative to the Goo gone brand so I went for this goo off and it works pretty well. I have to put in a little more elbow grease and have to do a few coats to get it off. But other than that I would recommend if you can't afford the more expensive kind. It smells just like goo gone, which isn't overpowering, and has two different spray options. Just wish it was a little bit stronger like goo gone, this goo off doesn't get off magic marker like Goo gone does.

Wow! Incredible! Life saver.
At first I wasn't so sure because the instructions say spray and let it soak for 1 minute then wipe with an absorbent cloth. After spraying and letting it sit for a minute, I used a paper towel to wipe it off but nothing really came off. My paper towel just got soaked wet. Then I grabbed more paper towel and noticed that when I wiped using the dry parts of the paper towel, the colors came off. I did have to scrub a little. Find a nice absorbent cloth instead of paper towel. It did come off though! I've posted before photos with all of the marker marks and after photos. I'm glad I didn't have to repaint the drawer. Thank you.

Works but has strong smell
Works but Has a Strong SmellThis Goof Off cleaner definitely gets the job done for tough messes. It lifted crayon, marker, and sticky gunk off surfaces that other cleaners couldn’t touch. The downside is the chemical smell—it’s really strong and lingers longer than I would like, especially when using it indoors. I have to make sure the windows are open whenever I use it.★★★☆☆ (3/5)

Great product
I cleaned a daycare this worked great for the tables crayons markers on the wall and it was cheaper than regular goof off so I made the purchased unfortunately the prices went up so I'll no longer purchase it as I usually have to go with the cheapest product however the thing I like the most about this product is where regular goof off eats off the paint this didn't it just got rid of the crayon marks I had struggled with a mark on a wall that was red marker for a year and have tried everything to get it off and it would not come off this finally did get it off

Effective for Fresh Stains, Requires Care for Tougher Jobs
Goo Off is a versatile product that works effectively on fresh stains, delivering quick results. However, for older stains, it may require a bit more time to fully remove them. When tackling tough tasks like removing permanent marker from carpets, it does break down the ink, but it can leave a residue. To avoid a mess, it’s important to dab the area gently rather than scrubbing. Overall, it's a handy solution for a variety of cleaning needs, though some caution is required with tougher stains.
