Perfect set! Tiles large enough to see when playing!

Good readability, colors, and weight. If you want to be nit-picky, the quality isn’t perfect; a few pieces have scratches, scuffs and paint bleed/marks. The tiles are functional, but the case’s trays are flimsy cardboard and cardstock that arrived broken at the edges. Don’t know if I trust the case, but time will tell. The dice and wind indicating die were all decent quality. Plastic point counting discs serve their purpose. Good instruction manual. Worth the price and lots of fun with the family.

This was a great buy. Got it for my 11 year old son, but it’s been a big hit with our whole family. I researched SO many options before purchasing this set. Very glad I ultimately decided on this one. Tiles are great quality and the game is a lot of fun.

I spent so much time looking for a set for Chinese Mahj and I'm so glad that this is the one I purchased. I already have two sets for American Mahj but I wanted a set with large tiles exclusively for Chinese play. I'm so glad I didn't get hung up with all the complaints about the size of the tiles. They're described as 1 and 1/2 inches. I measured mine and they are 1 and 5/12th of an inch - that's only 1/12th of an inch smaller than 1 and 1/2 inches and that is perfectly fine with me. I have no problem rounding up 1/12th of an inch. It probably makes it easier for people to picture the size when it's described as 1 and 1/2 rather than 1 and 5/12ths. The lettering, ink and pictures are perfect. I ordered it in blue and every one of the tiles are perfect on both sides - no scratches or smudges. There are Arabic numbers on the characters and letters on the winds so that will be helpful when teaching new players. The case is just fine. I've already taken the set of tiles in the case to friends' homes and it's holding up just fine. I don't hold it by the handle because it is very heavy and I can see where over time the case might not hold up well but I don't see that happening any time soon. The VALUE is remarkable. The price is so reasonable and the tiles are so beautiful.

Bought this as a fun family night game. This is very heavy to carry and the carring box does seem flimmsy unsure how it will hold up over time. The tiles look just like the image. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

The overable usability and the tiles are good. The only drawback is the quality of container/bag which is not that strong and two of the boxes that hold the tile in the bag were already ripped. However, I'm keeping it since it's a hassle to return and I'm only going to use it during occasion anyway.

Fun to have around the house. It was a bit pricey but well worth it. The tiles are beautiful and sturdy. Time to learn how to play so our family can enjoy.
