I love mimics, and this thing is just beautiful. Without a doubt one of the more gorgeous and functional items I own. I use it as a dice jail when my little rollers decide not to be helpful.

The chest is awesome! It is smaller than I thought it was going to be, but the design of the mimic's face is the coolest I have seen. When you lift the lid it actually stays up so you can access your dice and the movement is smooth and magnetically closes. One of hinges looks a little beat up, but it doesn't seem to be affecting it at all. If you love mimics, you don't want to pass this up.

beautiful sculpt and paint-job, however, one must GENTLY close the lid because the lid is heavy enough that allowing gravity to close it will shatter the mimic's own teeth. poorly designed in that regard.i would have asked for full refund had i not had the time, patience, and skill to resculpt and repaint the teeth myself...good for display...not really for use or storage in that one slip of the finger might cause it to break its own sculpt.

Got this ilas a early birthday present and the quality is great. Just be very careful around the teeth. While I haven't chipped mine I could see some easily doing it accidentally.

This is an absolutely gorgeous Item, beautifully hand painted and boy is it HEFTY. It's advertised as a dice box and you CAN use it for that but it's not something you want to risk being damaged. It's probably better as a display piece, not that there's anything wrong with that.
