HCI assists in digestion of food
I see a functional practitioner for medical examinations etc. after being fed up with regular doctors who seem determined to put me on meds rather than find source of problem. I might add that the doctor who saw me annually and who wanted these meds failed to diagnose I had thyroid cancer and could have died. Anyway, functional did advanced tests including a genetic that details your entire body including red flag areas for future problems. Anyway, as part of aging our acid decrease and we can take in vitamins and minerals but they don't get absorbe which causes problems, including gas. It was recommended I take HCI and this brand. I took it for a few years and decided to cut out some supplements and HCI was one. I noticed that gas came back which is embarrassing and uncomfortable. I also noted my nails were like tissue paper. So, I ordered HCI again and I feel normal again. Nails are gettin stronger, gas has greatly receded. I recommend this brand because it is medical quality, however, like any pill, prescription and supplement, they should not be taken lightly so if you have not been diagnosed with low stomach acids, then don't just pop a pill

Be careful taking any kind of acid supplement like this.. I'm not 100% positive if I have low stomach acid but decided to try this as a functional medicine guy told me to take.. Well I took only 1/4 of a capsule and within minutes my heart was pounding and I had a panic attack.. Not sure if it was the acid or the ingredients that make up the capsule. Also If you have histamine sensitivities I would advise not taking these. My next attempt is maybe enzymes??
