Furby (Orange/Blue)

Christmas gift 2012. He loves it! The only disappointment is that if you don't own an iPhone, you can use that app, but you can go to the Furbish dictionary, print out the words, English to Furbish, and visa-versa, and train your Fubry. It's a darling toy! Lots of fun :)

Our 9 yr old son loves his furby! We were worried he'd pull it out of the box and toss it aside, being such a "cutesy" toy but don't let this cute Furby face fool you...this thing is artificial intelligence!! It learns new words, starts speaking English after a while and even jumps into conversations in the room. I once asked my visiting father-in-law a question, and the Furby answered for me...correctly! It was hilarious. My son made a comment about having a girlfriend and the Furby said "no way"...too funny. I told all my co-workers about the Furby and they want me to bring it in so they can watch it dance to music...even adults love Furby!

This toy is cute; but, I wouldn't spend the money. It's expensive; they are other toys less expensive that kids can learn from. I bought it for my special needs kids, unfortunately, I can see them learning furbish and not language.

Strange that there are no instructions as to what the furby likes or doesn't like eg where the sensors are and what motions please it. Hard to show your child how to play with it when it is all trial and error as to what will create what mood and what constitutes dis/pleasing it. It clearly senses noise and looks great 'dancing' to music, but can it understand you speaking furbish commands back? Who knows. Very cute when it is nodding off to sleep and snoring. And yep, just like the other reviews, my four year boy didn't like it turning into nasty furby either. He went from showering his birthday "baby" with kisses all over its face to walking away from it and not wanting to play with it. Difficult when you can't even show it, 'do this and it will be nice again'. He has played with it a couple of times after this but after seeing it 'nasty' a couple of times, he has just gone back to his stuffed pooh "baby" that doesn't interact with him.

We got 2 furbies for our kids this christmas. Having had one of the original ones when I was a kid, it was fun being able to discover them again with my children. I have to say they are just as annoying as the first time, but much more entertaining! I like the LED eyes compared to the older ones that would look really scary sometimes if they didn't close right. We also don't have issues with them waking up in the middle of the night and acting possesed. My kids are 2 and 3 and really enjoy them! They've even named them and carry them around the house with them as pets. It's def a good pre-cursor to getting a pet.. since the furbies need to be fed, and cared for. It's a fun way to teach responsiblilty without the worry of something dying!

Funny story, I had bought this toy without knowing who I would give it to. After I didn't think of anyone I decided to sell it on ebay craigslist of something. I told my daughter this and she said nothing at the time. I was percratinating putting it online as usual but she started doing more chores around the house to get money. About 2 weeks later my daughter asked how much I would sell it to her for. I kinda laughed at her and said $40 since your my daughter. She actually wipped out the cash and gave it to me. All that talk about working hard to get what you want may have sunk in at least a little. Even though that thing can annoy me to death my Daughter loved it!

My daughter absolutely loves it. She has been using it without the app as the app is not available in my country (unfortunately)...It's a good toy nonetheless.Edit January 12, 2020: I loved this toy. Everybody else hated it bcoz they were scared of it. They couldn’t understand why such a toy seemed so ‘intelligent’ bordering on possessed lol - so of course after a few months furby disappeared. I’m sure they buried him somewhere. I may just get another furby.

This was a terrible purchase. I hated the thing when it was working properly. My kids hated that it continuously broke down.

No indica que no está en español y da lugar a confusión. El juguete está en inglés y por ello tuve q tramitar su devolución después de habérselo regalado a mi hijo.

9 yr old daughter very happy with it but i was disappointed that he 'died' within about 3 weeks and of course, by then, the instructions had long gone. Looking online provided no clues as to the location of the reset button but luckily I found a home made youtube video and this proved to be my saving grace. Honestly, this reset button was difficult to locate and unless you knew where it was and what it looked like, you wouldn't have stood a chance finding it.After following the you tube guide, Furby came back to life and has been fine ever since.

It was purchased for my granddaughter for her birthday and she is highly delighted with it - she loves it! She takes it to be bed at night - I think that was a great purchase - making a 6 year old very happy - don't you!
