my mother used to collect stone hearts - sometime I just couldn't 'see' the heart shape but she always could - it must be an artist thing - there is now a small following of her artist friends than manage to find all the hearts along the shoreline. its a gift she was able to share with them and now, I found this book - I wish I could have shared it with her. Its beautiful and brought back so many wonderful memories - it prompted me to really look at the stones I've massed together from mom - there are so many hearts - i never knew the treasures so close at hand. now maybe I'll be able to find those washed up on the shore. Its a wonder book - a simple joy.

Myself, like most people reading this review have a small collection of Heart Shaped Rocks given to them by their children. This book is the perfect accompaniment to those little love treasures. The photography is clear and crisp. This would make a beautiful gift any time of the year! If you don't have a lot of money but want to give a very heart felt gift-give this book along with a heart shaped rock (it'll make a big impression).

i've long collected "heart stones" on my hike and was thrilled to see this little book, so beautifully depicting this hobby. i've taken it all a step further - purchased two books for friends for the holidays and included several of my collected "heart stones" to entice them to do the same. collecting treasures along our path is a special surprise and gift we give ourselves for the effort exerted during our hike. i've found many samples of others gifts, left for us to view, now that i've discovered the delightful pastime.

I've found only one hearthstone, but it was a beaut that I gave to my wife as we hiked the Alum Cave trail in the Smokies last year. I had no idea that people collected these interesting objects, but when I discovered this neat little book, I knew I had to add it to the stone I gave my wife earlier. We're about to embark on another hike. Hopefully, I (and we) will be lucky this time, too.

This is such a sweet little book ! The sweetest little book I,ve bought in a very long time . This little book is guaranteed to make you smile and inspire you on your meditative quest of beach combing . A quietly happy little book full of love ! A nice book to give to a friend , but I,m going to keep my copy all to myself ...... and keep it in my pocket : )

Small book...nice pictures but was hoping the author would have added special quotes for each of the stones...something for you to learn from or think about...disappointing.......

found heartstones on L Superior and this was a perfect little book to go with our wonderful heart stones on our 25th anniversary along the shoreline on our trip
