Absolutely incomparable to European wood....the smell of home....very clean burn and very hot coals....I love having a braai with these woods.....ALL OF THEM.....

Oh I do like this, it takes the space of a third equivalent of charcoal.Takes a bit to get going, but the heat is excellent and pretty little smoke and a long burn.The space saving comes with the density of this wood. It is very very heavy.

Can't fault it.If you get wheezy or sinussy with a woodburner, but you have no option, with the cost of energy, but to use it this year then this is a nicer burn and the ashes less problematic than other fuels.You only need one at once because it burns as hot as charcoal for the BBQ, and in South Africa, where it is from, it is actually BBQ fuel. It ignites well, and when you close the vents down it will burn a long time, between 1-2 hours a log *if you burn one at once*.It looks like mahogany, but it's not from felled trees, it's from natural shedding, or so I'm told.

This wood is really heavy so it might look like a small package when it arrives but it burns for a really long time. A little goes a long way.

I am really pleased with the quality of the wood and the delivery was sooner than expected! Long last burn and heat given is perfect for low and slow or quick and hot BBQ'ing.

Excellent quality bbq wood. Used for slow smoking a pork shoulder and beef thors hammer. Lovely long burn.

Would definitely buy again, such good quality and very dense heavy wood. Burns for hours.
