SALOMON Men's Quest 4 GTX High Rise Hiking Boots

These boots are amazingly comfortable and suitable for very light use. After 3 months of use every weekend, they have failed in the Australian conditions with sandstone on the popular trails. I had versions 1 and 2 of this boot previously and they lasted more than a year - and I never had the rubber on the toe pulling away. But the construction quality has deteriorated substantially in this version. For the cost of the boots I suggest looking at Scarpa and Lowa.

Nachdem ich ca. 9 Jahre mit einem Vorgängermodell gewandert bin in dem ich dann auch 2020 meine 4- wöchige Alpenquerung gelaufen bin, war ich auf der Suche nach neuen Wanderstiefeln, möglichst ähnlich zu den guten vorherigen. Ich hab mich dann im Mai 2021 mangels weiterer Auswahl im Urlaub für ein Lowa Modell entschieden. Da ich aber von Anfang an nicht zu 100% überzeugt war, in Sachen Bequemlichkeit und auch von der Ausführung der Gore-Tex Membrane in dem Schuh hab ich parallel weitergesucht und mich jetzt für dieses Modell entschieden. Zunächst hatte ich eine Nummer zu groß bestellt, da ich mich bei der Größenauswahl nach meinem Schuh von 2012 gerichtet hatte. Nach kurzfristigem aber sehr schnellem Tausch (Nachbestellung der nächstkleineren Größe) bin ich jetzt aber Mega zufrieden! Ein wirklich super Schuh der nun darauf wartet, die nächsten kleinen und auch großen Berge zu durchlaufen!

Las botas son muy cómodas, algunos se quejan por el peso, pero para el tamaño de las mismas y lo reforzadas que vienen creo que incluso son ligeras. Vienen muuuy amplias. No pidas números extras, si a caso medio número más grande de lo que tu pie mide.

Got this pair of boots in Feb 2024, after one long trekking only, the front of the boot glue start to fail. See the picture. I do not expect such low quality with the boots at this price range !
