We use for our edge banding and they work great

Blades are sturdy and needed touch up to be properly sharp for woodworking. I did not like the left over steel burrs on all the edges when I opened the packaging. A quick run over with sand paper took them off. After sharpening I tried to fit to my Stanley No. 4 and the long gap in the middle of the blade is 2 mm too narrow for the lateral adjuster. Will keep the blades for when I make my own planes.

Most smoothing plane irons are ground at 25°, these blades are ground at 20°which seems a bit extreme. Others have complained about hole placement for the chip breaker screw. Stanley planes have the hole at the bottom towards the edge. Sargent planes have the hole at the top away from the edge. While these blades may not fit Stanley planes, they will fit Sargent #400 series with no problem..

Material is very soft, doesn't hold an edge.
