Q: Is this a fina approved suit?

Yes it is, it's stamped on the back of the suit. I would also recommend going down an extra size from what the site suggests. We purchased a size 24 (my son's jammers are a 28) and when he put them on there was still some stretching we could do and once he got in the water they stretched. He could actually go with the 22.

Hi Anglea, Thanks for the question. According to Arena here are the points of measurement for this suit. Waist: 25-27 inches; Hips: 31-33 inches for a size US22 Waist: 27-29 inches; Hips: 33-35 inches for a size US24 Although the hips are the most important, we really don't want a swimmer feeling like they can't pull the suit high enough to stay comfortably in place on his hips. I would recommend going with the size US 24 to accommodate all measurements. This suit is an entry-level performance suit - it is a great place to start if your swimmer has never worn a performance suit before. Best of luck this season. Karol from Techsuits.

Q: My 15 yrs son measurements are waist 34" ,hils 40",and wears 30 for practice .. what would be the best size for this suits for racing?

My son wears a 26 for practice and a 26 in this suit. He could have maybe fit into a 24 but not without assistance to get the suit on.
