A nice upgrade from stock AMD Wraith Spire Spire. Better cooling, quieter.
Upgraded our boys' machines with these coolers as I could tell the noise from the stock coolers was affecting my wife who is in the room with them all the time. The lateral-blow heatsink design has about 2x the heat sink fin surface area compared to the stock cooler. The box claims a TDP 180W capacity -- I can easily believe that.Because the cooler's out-flow is directed toward the exit fan, instead of blowing into the center of the case on the stock cooler, the overall temperature inside the case is lower. The mainboard is cooler and the GPU is cooler. On the dock cooler, even with my best attempt at tuning the fan curve, the fan speed would hunt because small changes in computational load would swing the temperature so much. With the better cooling on this cooler, there is far less hunting up and down -- the fan runs far steadier.End result -- while you can still hear the machines when heavily loaded, they are far quieter than they used to be, and more importantly, far steadier. The flip side is that it's now warmer *outside* of the computer because heat is being removed so well. It's noticeable sitting next to the computer that sits under the desk.We should have gotten these coolers with the machines on day 1.The installation is fairly straightforward. I suggest "dry fitting" the parts and plan the routing of the cables. We oriented the cables to come out the bottom to look nice and neat. Also, practice the clip attachment and removal a few times to make sure things will be aligned as you like. You must start with the fan removed to install the heatsink.Once you're ready, make sure you have thermal paste on the CPU and have removed the plastic liner from the heatsink. The RGB feature is attractive, and a nice stylish upgrade to their machines. I did not use the included SATA-to-RGB lighting adapter.I also did not try the included paste, as I already had an ArctiClean kit with the Arctic Silver 5 paste. The included paste should be fine, though, considering how effective this heatsink is. When removing the original stock cooler, be sure to give it a slight (1/8-turn) twist to break the seal between the heatsink and the CPU. On one of the machines, I popped the CPU off the socket - some times, people get unlucky and bend or even break pins off when that happens - fortunately, I didn't have that problem. The only complaint I have is that the sticker on the fans are not quite perfect -- it makes the spinning fan look ever-so-slightly wobbled. Easily noticeable if you're looking at the fan. Not really an issue when you're not.5/5, would buy again, and highly recommended over the stock cooler.

Excellent cooling
I bought this product 23 December 2020Really good product. the cooling is spot on. Im using it to cool and AMD 5600x, so the job isnt too hard but its not insignificant either. With the system idle the cpu temp is around 30c, thats just 9c above room temperature. Under load with PBO on it tops out in the high 50's. the fan never gets above 60% with the curve ive used. Coming from a wraith stealth the difference is night and day in terms of temps and noise. 15c cooler average off the top of my head, but the noise difference is massive at the fan speeds you will need with a similar processor. With a modest 4.5ghz all core overclock the highest temp i seen under testing was 72, this was increasing the voltage to 1.4 and the watts were topping out at 105w.The design is nice. The black fins are much nicer than the normal silver ones you would expect to see at this price. The RGB is colour accurate and matches the boards hues. The fan and the heatsync both have RGB, so you will need two headers or you can use the supplied splitter, which has even more room for adding more fans. Using a 'breathing' on and off rgb, ive noticed that the yellow LED's light up slightly after the red. I have an orange colour set. It gives me the colour i want at full brightness but for the first and last 1/2 second of the cycle when it's at its dimmest it changes to a red. Im not really bothered by this and any other cycle like strobing or changing colours does not produce this. The mounting was easy. Although there is no room for any adjustment the way the heatsync attaches to the mounts. My heatsync is ever so slightly not square with the board, but i am being super picky here! Looking at the closest dimm, the cooler is about a mm closer at the top than it is at the bottom. An adjustable mount would mean you could give it a tiny twist to fix this. However having owned a thermalright which you could adjust ment that it was never quite straight anyway! The wires are ample, longer than anyone could ever need, but you can just hide them away if you like it looking clean and it won't matter where your RGB header is on your board. All in all this is an excellent purchase for anyone who wants a quiet, efficient, good looking cooler. Are their better about? Yes, but bang for buck from all the reviews and research i did before i bought this is an amazing cooler. Unless your looking to drop some serious cash, like 3-4 times as much your not going to find anything that has an appreciable difference in the aesthetics and performance that this cooler offers and even then I doubt you would be pleased with cost/performance ratio.10/10 from me. I would definitely buy ID cooling again!EDIT: Just revisiting this review a year later, I still 100% agree with all of the above, the heatsink has been great. Ive added today a picture of the thermals and fan setting after running my 5600x in a stress for about 10 minutes. you can see the thermals have equalised at 60 deg with the fan completely unstressed and still really quiet. The 65 deg max temp is because all my fans are set to have a spin up time to keep any whirring on speed up to a minimum.

Budget Blacked Out RGB Cooler That Outperforms It's Price Tag!
I purchased this when it was on sale with a coupon to sweeten the deal. This is a great Air Cooler with Nice RGB Options on a all blacked out heatsink which makes it look super clean against the RGB LEDs as you can see from the picture. The temps run super cool for the CPU (Ryzen 5 2600) while its under load and performs close to the $50+ coolers and surprisingly quiet too. The install was actually easier than I thought it was going to be with my past experience with older coolers like the Cooler Master Hyper EVOs which I really don't recommend anyone getting any more unless on sale. I would imagine this and the DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX GT BK perform pretty similarly with surprising results against the price tag. This knocks the stock cooler out of the park. I can personally recommend this Air Cooling solution to anyone looking for a bugdet priced cooler with RGB options. I think this cooler is more aesthetically pleasing than the DeepCool one but you wouldn't go wrong with either one. I added a picture for you to see for yourself. Mini ATX case size.PROS:Blacked Out HeatsinkNice RGB on Heatsink and FanRuns Nice and Cool for CPU (Significant Difference Over Stock)Surprisingly quieter than I expectedEasy InstallationClears Ram Dimm SlotsCONsHeatsink RGB Wire is awkwardly placed not like in their Stock Photo (see picture of wire on the corner of heatsink fan)Did Not Come With a Daisy Chain Splitter to combine both of the RGB headers from the fan and heatsink

A cool 5600x
Great value cooler and an amazing upgrade from the stock one easy to mount, looks good and the RGB fan is very nice!Used with my 5600x and even managed to get a decent overclock out of it using this cooler.
