Great pump for the money
Great pump for the money! It is the main pump for my 125 reef sump. It is super quiet and adjustable by one percent increments from 30% up to 100%. The feed mode shuts the pump off for ten minutes to allow my corals and fish to feed, and slowly ramps back up to my preset interval automatically. It handles two corner overflows with 1.25" drains easily. I have it set to return water through four 3/4" returns and have been happy with its performance. Will be buying another stronger version in the future for a fish room build.*Update: hit the two year mark and it's still running strong

It’s a pump not a rocket!
Was very hesitant on buying this instead of major brand, but Jebao brand in general is awesome. I bought dc wave maker and now this dc pump and overall, they exceed my expectations on performance. In general my experience has been that premium brands are marginally better but cost a lot more. Jebao is a lot cheaper but perform only marginally less than the best. To put it into perspective I would say You can expect performance to be comparable to a brand name item that costs 3 to 4 times as much. There could be durability issues, but I haven’t experienced any durability or quality issues personally. Sure visually some cosmetic things could look like less quality, but I think the performance speaks for itself. Overall based upon the fact that dc pumps are relatively low tech (not rocket science), I think it’s safe bet that this is a much better value than some overhyped brand name good. Unless the brand name offers added functionality like scheduling varied types of flow or WiFi connectivity I wouldn’t wast my money. These are porche performance in a Kia body and priced right.

Adjustable, quiet, low power... Everything I wanted.
Way better than I expected... I had a model 18b mag drive pump for many years before this. When this jebao 10,000 showed up I had some reservations but it's much quieter, I'd say almost silent, and flows much more. I put it at 70% to get similar flow. It also seems to use much less power which is important for something running 24/7The speed is adjustable from 30% to 100% which is super nice, and it has a built in 10minute pause button for feeding. Also when it starts, it seems to ramp up over a few seconds so it doesn't shock all the plumbing.I have no comment on reliability, I haven't had it long enough. It comes with a few adapter barbs for different sized tubing. I have 1" tubing and there were bigger and smaller hose barb sizes. It comes with a removable plastic fence guard for the inlet. I bought it open box (used) on amazon, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to come with a second collar for attaching hose barbs to the inlet, but mine didn't and I didn't need it. The base with the rubber feet also detaches, although I can't imagine why you would want to do that... Maybe you would hard mount the base somewhere?

Great Quiet pump.
This is a wonderful pump so far. Dead quiet below 80 percent .Can only hear water rushing thru pipe. I installed on a Reefer 450. Pump is rated at 80 watts. I am using a 1 inch pipe to 1 inch PVC barb to Stock red sea 1 inch return pipe and have 4 inch long silicone coupler. At 44 watts apex flow meter states 390GPH. At max wattage it was 580GPH. I estimate Approx 9ft head. Remember rating is for max size pipe installed, I am using 1 inch. With full sized pipe, flow chart/head may be close. Controller has a watts display that is 5 watts lower than Apex/Kill-o-watt reading. the lowest the pump will run is an indicated 10 watts(actually 15). Pump does soft start but ramps quickly. I have had 3 other DC pumps including the New Current Eflux 1900(looks like DCT series), and DCT6500. They all had that high pitched electrical whine ,and in my quiet house drove me nuts. This pump is awesomely quiet. Be sure to buy the largest pump you can fit. You can run it at a lower speed and have plenty of reserve for a manifold for reactors etc. It will also move more water at a lower speed/watts compared to a smaller pump at same watts/speed. The Apex flow meter has opened a lot of peoples eyes. A lot less flow than anticipated. Bigger aquariums are a large energy consumer. Its nice to be able to tune something that's on 24/7.

Breaks in 90 days...
I had this pump and while it works it worked great -- quiet and powerful. But then today ~90 days after I got i noticed that the red light on the "controller box" was out and that it wasn't working. Just stopped. No noises or things got caught in it, was never under water level (i have an ATO), just stopped working.

It is also nice they can be adjusted from 30% up to 100% ...
For the price the pump is OK. I have four of the DCP-10000 and one of the DCP-18000 sized pumps. All five are dead silent, really impressive how quiet they are. It is also nice they can be adjusted from 30% up to 100% in 1% adjustments, so no valves needed. They are also very energy efficient. The 10000 size the controller feels a bit cheap on, the buttons are actual buttons, I feel on one of them the plastic on the arrow is going to break, pretty bad considering I hardly press it. The controller for the 18000 is very nice. It is a touch, so no need to actually press it down.My biggest complaint, I do not think these pumps move anywhere near what they claim. Maybe half it. They also are terrible when it comes to head pressure. The pumps are doing their jobs in my situation but I will be replacing them over time. I'll likely leave a couple online to check reliability but seeing as one was broken out of the box I'm not hopeful.
