These glasses are great for reading and any task when you are looking up and down frequently. Their "skinny" shape lets you look over the top without tilting your head up and down. I have just had cataract surgery so no longer need glasses for distance, and these fit the bill perfectly. The earpieces are hinged so the glasses can be perched on top of the head without loosening the fit. They are comfortable and sufficiently lightweight to be barely noticeable when worn. The hard case is a plus, and it's about the size of a good fountain pen, so takes no room at all in a purse. Have two pairs - one for home and one for purse - and cannot recommend highly enough.

I have bought several of these now, because I have a depressing habit of losing them. They are excellent as an "always with me" spare pair which live in pocket. Recently, they have changed the type of plastic which they use to sleeve the arms to a much glossier, and more slidy, material, so they now tend to fall down my nose, or fall off completely much more easily than they once did. I fix that by putting heat shrink tubing over the arms. That works well and is unobtrusive, but I shouldn't have to do it, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

While these glasses took a little longer than promised (They come from England!), they are what they promise to be: very compact, very light, workable, keeping in mind, of course, that they are really small--suitable for seeing price tags, ingredient labels, phone books, and the like. Not for extended book reading. But really handy. Neat slim case as well. Also, the lenses are not as thick as the drug store types tend to be.

I bought these to use at work mainly. Due to the low profile, I can leave these on for reading tiny print when necessary, but still see the computer screen or people's faces easily. I've had them for a couple of weeks, and some days have worn them most of the work day.One day, while wearing these glasses, I put on a welding helmet to watch someone welding for a few minutes. After I took the helmet off, I realized the frame had deformed at the bridge, with each of the lenses "drooping" below my eyes while the bridge was still on my nose. Apparently, the frame is flexible, and so I didn't notice they were bending when I put the face shield down. Afterward, I gently bent the frame back into place, and they still fit in the case.I have a relatively small head, as I'm a petite woman, so for those with average or larger features, check the arm length dimensions before you buy. Because the temples are spring hinged, you'll have some leeway in width.Even though these shipped from UK, mine arrived earlier than estimated. I'm pleased with them, and plan to buy other colors.

I bought these glasses for my fiancé. He had a pair of tube readers for many years that were just this lens height (1/2 inch). Those glasses broke. After much searching, I found these. He can read and then look up from the book/computer without having to remove his glasses. He loves them! We plan to order more.I would make one suggestion to the seller. The shipping time is a little bit underestimated. The glasses are coming from the UK, and they are definitely worth the wait. However, if the shipping time was extended by 7 days, a lot of confusion could be avoided.

The nose piece is a bit small. They want to fall off my nose because they don't hook over the ear. A wrap around retaining band will help. I make it work.

Needed an ultra slim "cheater readers" that will fit in the Military's standard uniform. They streamlined even the case so the WHOLE THING fits into the tiny "pen pocket" on the uniforms Super pleased! Professional looking, ears are straight so they fit everyone, and the glass is slim enough to see over. Now if only a place to write a phone number and/or name on the case so when it gets left on the conference room table.....

Great - perfectly sized with an ultra-slim hard case. Don;t be fooled by other companies that say their glasses are "slim" or even "ultra-slim." These are the only ones I have found that actually ARE ultra-slim. They take up no more room in your pocket than a sturdy fountain pen. I had a similar pair for years, but they came in a soft plastic case and the glasses broke in my pocket one day when I bent over. This metal case makes a big difference. Because of the tiny size, I wouldn't read a novel at home wearing them, but they are perfect when out and about and you need to glance over a menu or check the ingredients on a box in the store.

The current trend in reading glasses seems to be towards full-height / full sized lenses - it's certainly become extremely difficult to buy anything else in supermarkets, pharmacies, etc.I prefer to keep my glasses on and just look over the top of them most of the time, but I've been having great difficulty finding suitably narrow-lensed glasses...Until now that is - these are exactly what I've been looking for, with very narrow lenses no higher than about 11mm and, as luck would have it, they are also amazingly neat, very stylish looking glasses.The arms have only a suggestion of a curve as they pass over the ear - they don't really hook over the ears and the glasses are very light, so it might not be advisable to wear them outdoors in very strong wind - otherwise, the very light weight makes them very comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time.The almost straight shape of the arms means that these glasses fold into a very compact space and the supplied case is the thinnest glasses case I have ever seen, hardly any bigger than a bulky fountain pen.Highly recommended -IF- you are looking for glasses with narrow lenses.

These are never going to replace a bespoke pair of glasses, but then again this is surely not where this product is aimed. These glasses are small enough to be slipped in a pocket and kept with you wherever you're going; the case being the size of a small pencil case and just over 5" long. I've taken these cycling and motorcycling - both activities making it annoying or uncomfortable to have a full size pair of glasses and case sitting in your pocket. As I only really need glasses for reading I also use them when going out generally, so I've got something to use 'just in case'. And yes, they are well put together and fit-for-purpose. Do I use them at home? No. But I've had a pair for nearly a year and lost them recently. That really made me realise how useful they were and how I'd come to rely on them in certain circumstances. I just had to get them replaced, and at this price it's low enough to grab a couple of pairs. Buy some, I'm certain you'll find them useful (maybe even irreplaceable, like me!)

Cracking glasses and very slimline and compact. Very pleased and seller sent out very quickly and received next day. If these are treated well I am confident they will have a long life.

I have now purchased three pairs of these reading glasses and can say that the quality is professional throughout from the lenses to the frame and are certainty worth the money. The case though is a different story in that it is cheap and poor quality. The clip (to the case) snapped off a few minutes after opening the packaging. If you really want to spoil yourself and go for a leather case then the 'Stones Leather Pen Case' available on Amazon priced at £16.30 is a perfect fit. Be sure to take out the packaging first.

I bought these glasses to be portable. They definitely serve that purpose. They appear to be well made metal frames with sprung hinges. I have only a slight reservation - I assumed they would be a bit deeper, even though that would have meant a wider case. In fact they are incredibly skinny - the lenses probably less than 1cm deep. But having said that, they sit comfortably in front of your eyes to read a menu etc. So they actually do the job very well.
