Barney: Let's Go to the Farm

Here is the review I wrote for both Barney goes to the farm and Barney Lets go to the firehouse (I put the review below for Barney firehouse as well):From my 2 years olds perspective this and Barney goes to the farm are awesome! He sings and dances along with the video. I also like these shows for him.These Barney videos have values and aspects from the past that many present days shows do not. The images are not as fast moving as other shows. Both of my kids have learned a lot about fire safety from watching. While is isn't the most intellectually challenging it is not fluff tv like other shows and there are lessons learned. The kids in Barney are nice to each other and teach kindness. My 2 year old also sings the songs while he plays. It is sweet.

My 14 month old grandson can't get enough of it. No matter what he's doing, when he hears this come on, he comes running, and he sits spellbound for the longest time. I can't speak for why he's crazy about it, but I do know that he loves the music. As a grandmother, I find that this video is sweet, engaging, and the actors just draw children into the story and activities. I appreciate the wholesomeness of the program, the kindness and cooperation that is demonstrated by the characters, and I love the songs! I wouldn't hesitate to buy it for any child. If they're not a Barney fan already, they soon will be after seeing this cute presentation!

What can you say about Barney -Children LOVE him and well parents and grandparents are TIRED of him...My grandson, who is 1 1/2 yrs old will sit and watch him for hours. He didn't have this dvd. I chose this one because of all the animals. He has picked up alot from the Barney DVD's so this will also be a learning tool for him.As soon as he ripped the paper off the DVD, he hollared BARNEY...I love the smile and the big hug I got so I will endure Barney just for that reason.

Well, I don't love it because it's Barney and the sound of his voice is grating on my soul but my kids seem to think they've stumbled onto the Celine Dion or LeBran James of toddler television. If it keeps them quiet for 30 minutes so I can pee in peace and make a sandwich for lunch, then it's more than I couldn't have hoped for. Amen...hallelujah... and bow down to the big purple dinosaur for letting moms all over the country have a little moment to themselves.

I don't care what anyone says I LOVE Barney!! My Grand Daughter found an old tape (VCR) that her Mom used to love, impressed it still plays after the millions of viewings, and she sat for the whole thing, she never does that!! So I started getting her DVD's and she LOVES them!! Her Mom limits her TV watching but when she does get to pick something it's ALWAYS Barney!!

My 14 month old is learning about animals right now, and we use this video while on long trips for her to identify the animals. She gets excited when she sees each one. This is a great episode if your little one is learning about or enjoys animals.

I got this DVD for my son when he was 18 months old, and he didn't care for it. I played it for him a couple of months ago, and now he can't get enough of it. He loves Barney and his friends, and the scenes at the farm are incredibly entertaining for him. I'm glad the DVD features several shots of live animals with fun songs to go along with them. He watches it almost every day, and when it finishes, he turns to me and asks for "more."

Bought as used/good condition. The video freezes at the same point every time you play it. You can't fast forward past that point. You have to wait for a couple of minutes and sometimes it will unfreeze or just cut it off because a two-year old doesn't want to wait. This is the first time I have purchased something used and this is the last. I won't return just because I hate the hassle. It was for my granddaughter and likely to be her favorite as she loves farm animals but now her grammy just have her a crappy gift!
