Activision Anthology - PlayStation 2

This game has the classic Activision games for the Atari 2600 plus a few non-Activision games, most notably Demon Attack. Most of the games I never owned for the Atari, and most of those games aren't much fun and I don't play them except for a couple hidden gems. The controls are a lot easier than the Atari joystick considering we wore out the Atari controllers. The PS2 controller is much more responsive which is nice. It's nice playing these games in color too. You can unlock old commercials when you achieve certain benchmarks in the games. The game has 80s music on a boom box which you can turn on or off, I keep that off because I want to hear the sounds of the games. The music is good but you won't have it on much.I definitely recommend this game for anyone that owned activision games on the Atari. If you're not into retro gaming, this isn't for you.

I was really looking forward to playing "Kaboom" but realized after purchasing that there are no good paddles for it.

I haven't played these games since my older brother owned an Atari 2600. This brings back so many great memories as a kid. I think you might like it too.

If you like the old school games that were a lot of hand eye coordination and not focused on puzzle solving or blood splatter you might want to give this a try. Great fun with games that are enjoyable to play more than once and that you don't need a cheat guide to understand.

I ordered Activision Anthology for PS2. I received Atari Anthology for XBox. When I opened up the XBox game case there was a music CD inside. Basically I was robbed or these people are completely incompetent.

I grew up playing games in arcades, and at home on my Atari 5200. I thought buying this game would bring me back to the fun I had as a kid. It didn't. The game itself is fine, however with the upgraded technologies (graphics, sounds, controls) of todays games, these just don't seem fun anymore.

Plays just like the originals, only you don't have to blow the dust off of the cartridge, and the joystick is updated!
