For an 8 they slam
First of all I'm a 12" sub kinda guy. That's all I've ever owned until now. I was skeptical but I didn't wanna do a huge build in my truck because I need to keep my trunk open. I ordered one of the strato 8s and built a generic box just to test it out. After breaking it in, this thing slams without taking up a ton of space. I like it so much I ordered a another strato 8 and I'm going to build a sealed enclosure where the factory box was. These are great little subs for anyone looking for some serious bass in a small space!

Amazing
Worth it for the money. Can get loud as a 12” sub. I should have gotten the Meso for the extra power handling.

Misleading advertisement
Well, this is a well built sub , but my main complaint is the fact that it is 300 watt rms, instead of the advertised 450rms. Thats a big deal when your deciding on which amp to use on it. If im pushing 1200rms on 3 of these and now i find out that these can only handle 900 for 3 then i could end up damaging the woofers.**edited\* These little subs are very powerful and even though its labeled incorrectly, as far as rms, its still a very good woofer

Absolutely recommended BUT !!!
I bought these based on reviews, and when I received them I could tell right away why.The quality is second to none, they are fantastic looking and I have no reason to believe the interior quality isn't the same. I bought them for a special order box that fits the rear of my C6 Corvette but have decided to trade it in. So no I haven't heard them yet, but really hope I can use them in my new car ! I have to recommend them on the build quality alone. On a side note, the warranty paperwork you get with them basically states that they are warrantied, but in no way shape or form will you be able to make a claim. For starters - If you do not have your receipt, original box and packaging, your done, no warranty......Short version- If the speaker blows, it's your fault. Now I want to make sure I add the fact that this does in no way mean that they will actually try to deny you a claim, they may be very easy to deal with and give you no problems if the speaker fails, I have not had to deal with this.CT Sounds - maybe you need to revise your warranty paper work so that it doesn't make the consumer sound so unappreciated....

Will be buying another
Excellent sub! It’s tight and handles more than rated and keeps on pounding. Have it hooked up to a Rockford power T1000bd-1 amp in 2 ohms amd it sounds great

Recently I purchased a new truck and I wanted to ...
Recently I purchased a new truck and decided to upgrade the sound system because the bass was lacking to say the least. I also wanted the challenge of installing the amp and building a box. Holy hell did I got more than I bargained for with these subs. When I was in high school I had 2 12" JLs in a sealed box in the back of my 79 RX-7. These two 8"s paired with a 1500 watt amp wired to 1 ohms hit harder than my old system. The compact size of the subs allows me to completely hide the box. I had to laugh a little when my kids started yelling and covering their ears. Kids aren't as tough as they used to be I guess....You can't go wrong with these subwoofers.

It blew before I put the power to it
I only had a few hours of play time before it blew. I had it on a mono block at 600 rms to break it in before I make it beat. We didn't make it . It sounded good before it died . I would try one again just to see if it's the sub before I'm truly done because I could hear what it was Goin to sound like .
