Not a bad product for the price
I got these to grow mycelium in to cultivate mushroom spawn works good they're not glass so I just ended up throwing them out when I was done but the price was good so I didn't really care. I'm probably going to buy this product again just because of the cost and it's pretty well made products

Mycology recommended
I use these for mycology, growing gourmet mushroom cultures. I've bought this item at least 10 times over the last year. The one thing I like about this as compared to other brands I've bought on Amazon trying to save a penny is that it comes from the manufacturer in it's own box which then gets repacked by Amazon into another box. Others I've bought came only in the plastic sleeve which can easily be punctured and compromise the sterility of all the plates.

These do the job. Details below.
These Petri Dishes did the job. They came in a pack of 20, as stated, and each had both the base and the cover. One of the covers had cracked a bit in transport, so that was unfortunate. As it turns out, even though I always purchase the same size of Petri Dish, there seems to be just enough variance in how much tolerance is allowed, that the covers and bases from mixed sets doesn't always work together. So, I was not able to substitute a cover from a different set for the one that was cracked.Plastic Petri Dishes are meant to be disposable, and depending on what I used these for I either dumped them for "one and done" use, or if I wasn't growing anything toxic/disgusting, then I cleaned them out, disinfected them, and reused them. That worked fine, I didn't have any contamination issues doing that. There would be a limit to how many times you could get away with it, though. These acquire little scratches and things that, over time, could affect the ability to disinfect them adequately.Whether I will buy these again when my supply runs low is undecided. I have to drive to another city to buy them locally, so I prefer to buy online. It's just a bit of a gamble that I could end up with another cracked one, that's all. I guess that I would try again, though if I ever received another cracked one, I'd be upset with myself. :)

Good deal but?
This product is not reusable, so it can't be sterilized and reused, it is not heat proof, so I had to send it back.

Mini beach scenes!
We used these for an art/craft project for VBS. They worked great! None were broken and the perfect size!

well constructed, everyday use lab plates
I have used these in place of fisher brand plates and have found no difference. Good quality, vented, and well constructed. Some reviews have said they arrived broken but I have not noticied this... in fact they arrive individually packed with an overpack box.

Good quality but so so packaging
Ordered 2, one came in its own box inside the Amazon box in perfect. The second was loose in it's sleeve in the Amazon box. That One had a few dishes broken and the plastic was ripped making no longer sterile. They both should have been boxed like the first and I'm not going to pay to ship it back for replacement. Im sure this was just an error in packaging and the person filling the box didn't realize it is basically worthless if the plastic gets ripped. The one in the box is exactly what i was looking for and seems to be good quality, no defects in the product itself

Exactly as the description
This product was in fact, sterile petri dishes. I autoclaved the nutrient agar as necessary, poured the plates and several days later the plates are still as good as new without antibiotics. Great purchase.
