Very strong fan and good light. Overall good bang for your buck. This is a great vent fan but you need to know what you’re doing to install it. I don’t recommend relying on the drywall screws provided, I removed the drywall from my wall and put some nailers in between the studs for extra support. Additionally, if your outlet is right above where this vent will be, it will not work. The outlet will have to move (either far above or 2 inches off center to the right) for it to fit and hide behind the chimney. Reason being the vent tube will hit the plug in the outlet if it’s right above the stove. Over-all this product is 5 stars, great value, but it does require a lot of work and planning to install. It is not a simple installation if you plan to make it last long.

I'm a professional chef. When it came time to redo my kitchen at home I knew I needed a hood that vented to the outside of the house. I picked this one not only due to the price but also the 450 CFM motor. This hood will really pull the heat and smoke out of your kitchen. I mounted mine as low to the stove as the specs recommended as I wanted to catch as much smoke as possible from sauteing. I rarely use the high setting and mostly use the low as that is adequate for most cooking. I can see my back burners when I stand in front of the unit and I am 6 feet tall. I highly recommend mounting it lower than higher, not because of any problems with the unit, but because I've found this to be true in industrial kitchens as well. I put the vents in the dishwasher when they get greasy for no fuss cleaning. Overall I am quite happy with the hood and I have been using it for two years.

Nice vent: works well. Tough getting the filters in, but you can do it. The only issue I had was getting the blue film off. It appears that the device was put together in parts covered with the blue film, making it difficult to remove all of the blue film between the cracks. Also, it took a lot of time to remove the blue film from the vent covers (where the filters go). This was very frustrating to me. With that said, once removed, there were very little scratches on the device. The end product looks very nice. NOTE: This unit came with a power cord (3 feet short plug attached), making it easy to connect without having to wire in a separate electrical cable.

My apartment is a studio with an open floor layout, which means that if I am not cautious, anything that occurs on the burner may soon spread to the couch and mattress in the unit. Prior to the arrival of this hood, I depended on a little window fan that barely moved the needle. Now, I am able to sear, sauté, and simmer without having to worry about whether or not the garlic or fish from the previous night will be waiting for me when I wake up. The installation process was simple for someone with a decent level of handyman skills. Following the marking of the stud, I proceeded to attach the bracket, pull the hood into position, fasten the screws, and then connect the power at the appropriate point. It took a leisurely Saturday afternoon to complete the whole operation, which included stops to check the level and clearance twice. In spite of the fact that I was operating it in a ductless configuration, the first test took me by surprise. The hood produced a visible column of steam that was directed upward from a boiling pot, and my smoke detector, which is generally sensitive to the slightest provocation, stayed quiet. At the first level, there is a soft hum in the background, which is ideal for reducing a sauce while taking in some music. This level is responsible for the day-to-day frying and ensures that the kitchen is calm enough for discussion to take place. Additionally, the motor never makes a harsh or rattling sound; it registers around the same loudness as the wash cycle on my dishwasher. Level three is powerful enough to handle stir-fries that are cooked at high temperatures. On account of the fact that every setting is unique, I do not have to automatically switch to the loudest mode in order to feel shielded from smoke.

I really like this range hood. I’ve been using it nearly every day for over two years and it’s working like a champ. Would definitely recommend. However, I’ve been trying to replace the carbon filters CFZMG01 and they keep saying they’re unavailable. Any recommendations on how I can buy new filters for this range hood?

The moment this arrived, I immediately installed it. I personally found it really easy to do but the instructions did help with that. When this did arrive, I checked everything and there was nothing wrong with it at all. The whole range hood fits exactly where I wanted it to be too. When it comes to using and the noise level, this thing is really quite, especially compared to my old one. I find that this actually has really good air flow because no matter what I'm cooking, steam and smoke gets sucked up into the fan fast and better than my old one. The light is in the back but its bright enough to light up my whole area. Another thing I noticed is how easy it is to clean. Even oil and pet fur doesn't really stick to this range hood. Everything is so easy to wipe clean without leaving streak marks either.

One of the worst product I have ever purchased. The protective film by itself is is a very good reason not to buy. The film was applied before the vent hood was assembled, so that when they assembled it, the protective film continues down between pieces that are screwed together. You are left with the option of completely disassembling it, or having little pieces of blue fil sticking up all over where you were forced to tear it off. To save a buck they made all of the dimensions slightly smaller than the previous model so that the outlet that was hidden is no longer hidden, the hole in the ceiling is no longer hidden, the lines and holes from the previous installation are no longer hidden. Terrible Product, don't buy!

The light is not super bright but works fine. The fan is quiet and works good!

I can’t say we had no issues installing it, especially the top part that meets the ceiling but all in all we managed just fine. We’ve been running it for a couple of months and are very happy with it. It doesn’t grab all the smoke when you use the front burners but never had a fan that fully did. The blue film was a bit of a pain to remove but it’s there to protect the stainless steel. Stainless cleans like any other stainless. Feels good quality and looks good.

This 24-inch wall mount range hood has a very good price. It suctions well and is very functional in my kitchen. It’s easy to install and cleans the air efficiently. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.

The range hood is nice and working okay. Like it a lot

Terrible hood, best avoided. Badly designed, the way the chimney attaches to the hood and to the wall is very fiddly. Took a lot of metal bending to get it to work. But by far the most egregious feature is the blue film. When manufacturers buy sheet steel, it comes with blue protective polyethylene film to stop it getting scratched. They leave this on during manufacturing, for the same reason. The problem is, if you leave the film on, then rivet all your sheets together, it becomes very difficult to cleanly remove along the riveted edge. Not a good product.
