I bought this after trying the belt for my baby first and so happy that I purchased this because it works. Her belly button was outie maybe because of the crying and back home in the Philippines we usually wrap the belly button and i did not do that even when my mom told me too. But thank god i found this. I was stressing out every single time i see the belly button pops out a little bit, doctors keep telling me its normal for the baby to have it and it will close sometime but for me, how many times does the baby cries and of course it will get worse after sometime and did happen to my baby’s belly button. So I purchased this even tho it’s a little pricey. Tried the patch with this but my baby skin is sensitive and gets red bumps around after taking it off even though i had it soaked with lotion and even tried with soap so i ended up buying a surgical tape and secure it that way it doesnt come off easily when changing diaper. It was easy to take it off too during washes. Definitely will buy another one for the next baby. And for the cleaning, i take it off during wash, shower and clean it at the same time then put it back once it dries and for the belly button as well. Do not put this if the belly button is not fully healed.but it does works. It will take some time also depends how bad the hernia is. The belt that I purchased before this did not works also annoying because it doesnt stay where it should be. Hate tightening it because its not comfortable for the little one

I don’t have a picture of my baby’s belly button but man he had an umbilical hernia that stuck like 2inches out. I pushed the hernia in and used an umbilical belt at first to bring it down flat or at least close to flat and once i was able to put this plug on it really helped. After that I used basically this with a large tegaderm patch made for baby hernias. You gotta get the large patch otherwise their moving around peels it off. The belt annoyed him so the tegaderm patch worked way better with this. I would leave it on the whole day and off at night. The pediatrician told me not to use belts or anything like this but he would have still had his hernia and eventually had to have surgery. Now he has a regular innie belly button. The whole process took 2 months. I would recommend this to everyone.

WARNING: product is NOT returnable and is incomplete. This product consists of a rather long piece of silicon in a branded box, and a lot of marketing. For the high price ($30) charged for a $0.30 piece of silicon, one would expect that tape would be provided. Not true. My experience: my baby had an umbilical hernia of unusually large size (> 4 cm) causing him discomfort. We tried a hernia belt but it doesn't stay put, and looked at other options like this. We ordered little hernia naval patches that come with medical adhesive patches (i.e. a few dozen cotton buttons with the flexible patches that get put over, say, an IV at the hospital) and this silicon thing. The moment we got the silicon thing, we realized it wasn't for us. The naval patches were complete products, were comfortable, half the price, and after about 1.5 months of application, worked. This silicon cone thing immediately looked uncomfortable, came with no adhesive (so what, I need to spend more money and time researching?), and ultimately will need to be cleaned constantly rather than being disposable cotton. Well, I guess I understand why the silicon cone isn't re-usable--the cost of sanitizing it is probably worth more than materials. But caveat emptor: this can't be returned. It might work for some people, but it's frankly not worth the cost and I think other options on Amazon are better.

I started to notice my 1month old having umbilical hernia so we came across this cone. It’s soft and flimsy so it wouldn’t hurt them however it may be a bit uncomfortable for them. Had it on him for two weeks and it was doing its job ! Keep it on for a long period of time because it can stick out again. We were putting bandage over the cone but it was scarring him so we stopped until his skin around it healed. It DOES NOT come with the tape so place an order for that too! Product works, it just needs attention and care as it’s doing its job.

AMAZING PRODUCT!!!! This is just after 2.5 weeks of use! Umbilical hernia is not fully closed yet but close! Don't beat yourself up if you leave it out for 1 day. We used the BBS patch and also the waterproof adhesive patch during swimming. The BBS patch needs to be removed with body oils or lotion otherwise skin will be irritated! Can't recommend the belly button shaper enough!!! Results speak for themselves!!! Very happy this product exists as our child will avoid umbilical hernia surgery in the future!!! The sooner you get the Belly Button Shaper the sooner your child's abdominal walls can start healing with less discomfort for your little one! Don't let the price tag avoid you from getting these products. You spend less than $100 to save your child from thousands of dollars for surgery & recovery time; most importantly extreme discomfort!!!!
