It will eventually washout, the color is long lasting so it will take time to completely remove the color from the hair.

No you do not need a shampoo after using this. This product is both shampoo and hair color. As far as I know and the way I do it, just wash the product with water after living it on for 10-15 mins. This being said, do not expect that the product is ad fragrant as your regular shampoo but you will definitely not smell like chemical either. Hope this helps.
