Great keyboard for productivity and gaming
Been using this now for about three months - does everything well. A small bit of issue updating the firmware but after that was done it works great. The programmable keys are great and the little dial display at the top is surprisingly functional and not just a gizmo. Highly recommended.

Impressive but not perfect
I want to love this keyboard, but there are some issues that could be fixed and some that can't.Love: the modular design, the size, the customizable features, and the packaging.Even though I don't intend to vary from a standard 10-key KB layout, it's cool that I could, and it's a normal full size keyboard. I installed one set of extra back feet risers and it makes it much more comfortable. I swapped out the keyswitches for Cherry MX Greys to make it more like a traditional keyboard since I don't do gaming and it's pretty awesome now. The packaging is amazing. Everything comes in its own little box, is well labeled, and reasonably straightforward to assemble.Love/Hate: the wrist rest. The wrist rest is amazingly awesome and comfortable and attaches to the KB via reasonable magnets EXCEPT that it doesn't extend to the NumPad! What were the designers thinking? I asked Mountain about this and they don't plan to make one. So, I ordered the K100 wrist rest from Corsair and will attach it with A+B magnetic tape strips. If you go this route, BEWARE: I only found two wrist rests big enough to span this whole KB. It's 18" wide and only the K100 and the Razer v4 Black Widow rests are that wide. Everything else on the market is 17.5" or less.Hate: the documentation, the NumPad macro keys, the BaseCamp software, Mountain support, and KVM incompatibility. The documentation is minimal at best. Mostly pictures and no assembly instructions. Particularly, which USB-C port do I plug the USB cable into? The answer is: the one hiding underneath the keyboard in the center. The BaseCamp documentation is non-existent.The NumPad macro keys are cool and marginally useful for a non-gamer. The problem is that I can't get the lights to shut off without unplugging it from the KB proper! Even with the lighting turned off, they still shine brightly.Which brings me to the BaseCamp software and Mountain Support. BaseCamp software doesn't allow you to change the macro keys' lighting scheme. And even worse, my Alienware m18 R2 will not sleep or hibernate with that software (Windows Service) running. It left my monitors on all night. When I kill that service, my laptop will sleep. I asked Mountain Support about this issue. They had me gather a bunch of info using CPU-Z, and came back with stupid answers like, upgrade your BIOS and reboot your system. Even worse, they are apparently based in Germany (German company), so I don't get responses from them after about 1 PM EDT. And their responses are not quick, being measured in days.I have a work computer and my laptop at home with two monitors, all connected to a StarTech.com SV231DPUA KVM. The KVM does not register the hotkey combination coming from this KB, so I have to manually hit the switch to go to the other computer. From web research, this is a universal problem with gaming keyboards. I don't really understand the technical reasons why, but if you're using a KVM, you will probably have to use the switch on the box.Would I recommend this KB? If you hate all of the KB's at Best Buy and want to customize your KB, do it. Otherwise, save your money and get a cheaper Mech KB with the switches you want.

I need 100% Reliability from a Keyboard and This isn't it!!
Right up front, the Left (Back) Arrow on the main Keyboard didn't work immediately out of the Box!I was very patient initially an the Keyboard included additional Switches to swap out and so I tried all 5 New Switches and the Back Arrow Key still didn't work.I thought it could have been how I was replacing the Switches so I swapped out a Switch that Did work and that key worked just fine. I even took that Switch and put it in the Non-Working one and it Still didn't work.I was really hoping this Keyboard would have worked properly but I as I said in the title, I need 100% Reliability 100% of the time. The reason for this is, I work Cardiology from Home and don't have time for something silly like my Keyboard to delay my workload.I've always considered the idea of a Gaming Keyboard to be a good idea for Work due to the concept of how much abuse PC gamers give to their keyboards. My main reason for buying this keyboard was for the swappable Keypad from left to right handed to increase my Productivity along with the programmable buttons on top.Again, being that I had trouble immediately out of the Box makes me think more could go wrong in the Future. So I'll back to my 16 year old Keyboard that hasn't failed me yet to this day that I paid $50 bucks for until I can find something else that I deem as Reliable...

The software does not work properly so this keyboard is not special
tl;dr - DO NOT BUY THIS KEYBOARDI use this keyboard with an MSI Raider GE77 Core i9 10th gen GTX 2080Cons:- The software for this keyboard (Base Camp) is poorly developed, so this keyboard is not as useful as you might think.- Base camp settings are obnoxiously slow to change. Other programs like Logitech G Hub can change settings within seconds, but for base camp it's going to be minutes to make simple changes. I am also disappointed that for such an expensive keyboard, even the software for Red Dragon products works substantially better- Key bindings are unreliable. You can "change" them in base camp, but they don't save to the keyboard. In other words, after you spend the time to program something for a specific key and when you press it, nothing happens. Alternatively, you might re-program a key binding and find out that it activates a previous function. This happens across profiles also, even when the "sync across profiles" feature is disabled.- macro editor is lackluster- Per key RGB lighting does not work- the length of usb-c to usb-c extension cables provided is not a useful length. The accessories do not work with third party extension cables- the media dock has buttons but they do not have any type of lighting. they are black buttons on a black panel so they are hard to see when using in low light conditions- the display dial of the media dock is incredibly slow. I avoid using it because of how sluggish it feels- you can set up profiles in base camp and give them unique names. when you use the display dial to change profiles, you can only see the profile's number so if you don't have the profile order memorized, the ability to switch with the display dial is unhelpfulPros:- the appearance of the keyboard and the packaging appear to be premium- the RGB effect when you plug it in for the first time is super neat- the magnetic feet are nice for adjusting the angle of the keyboard- the main usb cable feels like a premium cable- the movable number pad is super useful. I rarely switch it to the left side, but I remove it regularlyUpdate:Two weeks after posting this review the keypad stopped working entirely. It won't light up nor does my computer recognize it. This happened when my computer was not in use so it is not related to any physical damage or mishandling.
