Good for a beginner
This was the first type of boba pearls I ever tried to make and I had so much fun with them. I kept them in the fridge once opened, but eventually had to move them to the freezer because I didn't eat them fast enough. They seemed to cook up good for the most part but eventually fuse together and got freezer burn or something and started tasting wonky (I think it was my freezer, the ice was also funky) and i had to eventually toss half a bag of each. Some time later I reordered but ended up going through even less of the bags 😅. They're delicious and I made them just fine from freezer or fresh, but they've been in my freezer for a year now and... well I just don't think I use enough boba to justify getting these ones again. I'll look for smaller packages since this is an occasional treat for me not a regular meal.On that note, the pearls are filling and chewy, and yes don't refrigerate after cooking unless you don't mind a more solid center. From the freezer I would boil these for about fifteen to thirty minutes depending on my mood and how chewy i wanted them, drain and add hot to a bowl immediately with a spoonful of sugar and use the heat from the cooked pearls and the residual moisture to melt the sugar and coat them in a simple syrup. I imagine they would taste even better if I had used brown sugar as recommended, but though I kept meaning to get some I always got side tracked. They tasted pretty good, and I'll admit to having eaten them by the spoonful a time or two.

You can make them in your rice cooker
I love these. They taste great and store well in the fridge once opened. I make them in my rice cooker. These parts water to one part tapioca pearls. They come out nice and chewy. Highly recommend!

Good value
Both bags came fully vacuum sealed and in good condition. I love how quickly this brand can be prepared (10 minutes). I just fished making a mixed batch of 1/2 rainbow and 1/2 black and wasn't able to pick out any difference between them based on flavor/texture.

Just a beginner on making bubble tea at home!
Great product! I do wish the vacuum pack seal was tighter. One of mine was but the other wasnt. However, once i open it i put them in the freezer anyways to keep fresh. They still taste great when im ready to cook them. Just put them directly into boiling water and once they rise up they are done. (3 to 5 min) I then drain a bit of the water out and add raw brown sugar to it (im sure any sugar would do) and let them cool for a bit. I add a bit of the sweetened liquid with my pearls to my cup first then add my fruit smoothie on top. TASTES GREAT!!!

Better than expected!
The boba arrived sooner than expected. Both packages were fully sealed, then put in another sealed bag, then in a big bubble mailer. Expiration date isn’t for a year which is perfect. I got both the black boba and colorful boba. It says “ready in 5 minutes” on the front, but if you look at the directions it takes 5-8 to boil and 5-8 to simmer (I usually do about 20 minutes total). I’ve gotten this brand before at my local Asian market, but when I moved I couldn’t buy it anymore. Also! Some of the negative reviews said that the boba had mold on it or that it has no flavor. The white powdery stuff on the boba is tapioca flour that keeps the boba from sticking to each other. As for the no-flavor part, boba is like pasta! It doesn’t taste like anything unless you add things to it. In Japan they sell flavored syrups that you add to boba after it’s cooked to give it flavor (like putting tomato sauce on spaghetti). I add honey since I can’t find any flavor syrups locally. Overall great purchase, great value for the money, and fast shipping!

Preservation tip
Review:Just as it should have been. I had no issues with shipping, my bags came undamaged. The boba is tastey and not rotten. I would prefer an expiration date farther away but I know expiration dates are B.S. so I don't care much. Also my partner and I will definitely eat it up. It later a while in the fridge. Maybe a few weeks? I am bad with time.Tip:If you are worried about eating all in time, you can free boba. If you cook it a bit less than you like and then freeze it, you can put the frozen boba in boiling water at a layer date and it tastes fresh as fresh. Personally I just cook it how I like it and then pop the frozen boba in my hot tea to cool down the tea and that works out too.
