sometimes it applies beautifully, sometimes it separates where my skin is suffering ...
I have a love/hate relationship with this; sometimes it applies beautifully, sometimes it separates where my skin is suffering from texture and dryness. If you layer it using a sponge applicator (I use a cushion sponge) it tends to remove or move around the foundation. My t-zone can get shiny throughout the day and this foundation reflects it noticeably so. If you don't get too oily and does not suffer from intense dry patches, this would wear beautifully, as it looks natural and slightly dewy on my good skin days.I've begun mixing this with my EL Double Wear foundation (in shade 1W1, 50/50 ratio) and it gives much more coverage, wears beautifully, is less oily in the t-zone, and much more transfer proof than wearing this serum foundation alone. Because of how dewy this foundation can be, it's a great mixer for drier foundations. However, my cheeks get horrendously dry and flakey during the winter (like, you can feel the dry patches after freshly applied face cream level of dry) and this mix does not sit too well in those areas, which I have to use Nars RCC (mix of shades custard and vanilla) on to remedy. My shade is about NC15 and 51 Vanille Clair was a close enough match.update 7/21/18: It's been over a year and my skin has drastically improved- my t-zone is no longer oily and I have very minimal dry patches. This foundation is now perfect alone, does not separate wildly on me, and provides enough coverage to hide my light acne scars and redness. I use it with a cushion sponge still, the blue MISSHA ones, and it leaves a fantastic natural finish (slightest bit of glow, not crazy dewy). I can finally ditch my more expensive foundations for this. IF you have oily skin though, I do not recommend this at all, as it will separate oddly and accentuate your pores.

The most beautiful looking foundation...for a short amount of time. Leans yellow.
FYI Bourjois is a sister company of Chanel. The application of this is similar, very, very similar to Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere.Application: Application is easy. This is sheer and could, with effort, build to a medium coverage. It has a very skin-like finish and comes off as very natural. As far as how it looks on my skin, this is 5 stars. It makes my skin look like skin, but better. I have combination skin. With a primer this does not settle into pores and it does not cling to dry patches. I did not get oily, nor did it dry me out. Where the application fails is longevity. The first two hours are perfect. Around hour three and four I see significant break down. It slides around my face and breaks up. I have tampered with and without primer, as well as used a few primers with it. It just breaks up no matter what by the 4 hour mark. Even with powdering I get, max 4 hours of this with perfect looking skin. RE-applying is easy and quick but probably not realistic for most people. For me, I use this as a quick skin touch up when I need to run to the store, my skin could use a little love on the way to the gym, or for short errands.Color:51, Light Vanille, I am pale and pink. I have to walk away from many makeup companies because they don't go light enough for me (I'm looking at you Clinique, Clarins, Estee Lauder...). I would be considered Lancome's newest shade in 90N, but can also make 100N and 110C work for me. I often aim for neutral tones over pink because I like sheer or medium foundation and to let my skin shine through a little. This foundation is yellow. Quite yellow. However, it's sheer so it might be something passable for some people who are not warmer colored. I have made this work for me with a color adjuster. The skinny? This foundation could have been my holy grail item because of how easy it applies, how beautiful and natural is looks, and how it does not irritate my skin in the least. However, it fails on longevity and color options. If you don't mind touching up and lean yellow, this is a fantastic alternative to Chanel's Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere. If you end up loving this and the color doesn't work out for you, Chanel's color options are a bit better.

Thank you Jaclyn Hill for recommending this product, it's my new go-to concealer.
I am a Jaclyn Hill fanatic, she had me convinced to try this foundation and I'm happy I did. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to ship to the US but I'm happy I did.My skin type: Very sensitive, prone to breakouts and dryness, treated with retinol and glycolic acid EOD. Visible pores and can get oily in my T-zone. No wrinkles or fine lines. My skin tone: Fair with olive undertones, some redness, a few sun spots on my cheek region. My makeup routine: Primer (Tatcha), foundation (applied with a brush), under-eye concealer (Urban Decay Naked), setting powder for my under eyes (Anastasia banana powder), blush, setting spray (Urban Decay), then eye makeup and lipstick (many many many brands and products). This product: I have the color 53 Beige Clair (light beige) which is perfect for my light olive skin. It provides light to medium coverage that is buildable, goes on smoothly on top of my primer, and gives a very glowy/dewy appearance. I always go for a more natural makeup look and this does exactly that. It covers my sun spots and redness very well, evens out my skin tone,l and does not make my skin oily or make me break out. As far as longevity is concerned, I can't speak to that because I use a setting spray which is meant to extend the life of my makeup for 12-14 hours, so it stays on all day but that's probably more because of the setting spray than the foundation itself. It hasn't really changed the quality of my skin at all, but I don't expect it to, it's not skin care.
