A Birthday for Cow! (board book) (The Giggle Gang)

Even on a toddler level, this book is a little too simplistic for my taste compared to other bedtime stories, but my 2 year old LOVES this book and requests it almost every night. Now I randomly yell "A TURNIP!" while cooking breakfast and she cackles with glee.

If you don't already own one of the giggle gang books then I will inform you, all are cute, funny little punchline driven books that your young child (I have a 5 year old) will giggle, laugh at and likely quote. Somehow the writer knows just what tickles a young child's funny bone and these books do it. If you own any other ggigle gang, then it is like the others, cute bright colored pages, a silly situation followed by a final punchline. Other reviewers have noted (and the reason I purchased my first book of the series 'The dog house'), my child is compelled to 'read' the book after a few repetitions and I love that these books above all else have gotten my child interested in trying to read out loud. So that's a wonderful bonus!!

Great colorful book with funny text. Read to babies through 2 year olds. Than can be a great first reader with easy vocabulary.

Very silly book. My 4mth old loves it. The art is vibrant and engages him from start to finish. The story is goofy and he likes it when we read it to him using silly voices. Quality of the actual book is nice and sturdy as you would expect from a board book.

I was excited to get this book for my one year old right around his first birthday! Such a disappointment. It's meant for a little bit older kids since it needs explanation. It's not that funny unless you over exaggerate the narration....maybe. In fact, I find it harbors mean and negative feelings for those who think differently....AND it doesn't resolve how the other characters feel and any kind of reflection. It's just empty.

This is absolutely the most adorable book! Great read, my toddler granddaughter loves it. Lots of giggles!
