Inexpensive, chemical-free, and effective!
We had our first ever lice outbreak after an overnight with a friend. I ran out and bought some other brand of expensive lice killing product only to realize that it was basically hair conditioner that had nothing in it to actually kill the lice. And it had some pesticide spray which isn't really necessary if you properly wash and vacuum everything. I then went on a hunt for a product that would work. Licefreee caught my eye because it is inexpensive and chemical free and it had great reviews. If it didn't work, I wasn't out a whole lot of money. To my surprise, it did work! It smells like licorice, which I'm not a big fan of, but its not the worst smell in the world and it doesn't smell like chemicals so I can definitely handle it. After using it, I found dead bugs so it really does work. And it's so easy to use. The bottle says you don't have to pick the nits out, but I highly recommend that you do because it helps you to know if you are free and clear of lice and if there has been a reinfestation. If you don't pick the nits, then it's impossible to tell if the lice are really gone. It's like water, very thin and it runs, so spray it and then rub it in the hair to saturate the whole head of hair. I recommend draping a towel around the shoulders to catch drips. Here's the process I used: Week 1: I sprayed it all over everyone's hair first thing in the morning and then everyone went about their day while I washed and dried bedding, clothes, and pillows and vacuumed mattresses, carpet and rugs, furniture, and car upholstery. All stuffed animals went into trash bags and were put in our storage building. I left Licefreee on everyone's hair and allowed it to dry all day. At bedtime, it got washed out in the bath. For the kids, I washed their hair as normal and then used a heavy amount of hair conditioner. The conditioner makes it so much easier to use the lice comb without pulling their hair. Apply the contioner, then use a regular comb to comb the contioner through the hair. Then use the lice comb on the hair. After each swipe through the hair, rinse the comb in a cup to make sure it is clean and clear of all nits and bugs. I use the conditioner and comb every day for a week. I also pick nits by hand because some are so close to the scalp that the comb doesn't grab them. Week 2: One week after the first application, I retreated with another round of Licefreee then continue conditioning and combing hair for another week. After the second treatment, I also redo the whole house, washing and drying bedding, vacuum everything again, etc. Stuffed animals are not brought back into the house until 3-4 weeks later or a couple weeks after I'm sure the lice are gone. Week 3: After another week, I retreated a third time. After the third treatment, I just check heads for any signs of lice. I continue to check and use a lice comb until we are 3 weeks without seeing any sign of lice. If any signs of lice are found, I would retreat again weekly, but I didn't see any signs after the second treatment. It's a long process, but it is worth it to make sure that the lice are gone! For moms, if you don't have anyone to go through your hair and pick nits, just treat yourself each time you treat the kids and do your hair in the bath or shower just like you do the kids. Condition your hair and use a wide tooth comb to comb the conditioner through your hair and then use a lice comb to remove as many nits and bugs as possible. Use the conditioner and comb daily, just like you do with the kids. Make sure to retreat yourself each week when you retreat the kids. This will catch any bugs that hatch between treatments. Treat yourself, everyone in the house, the house itself, and vehicles 3 times! And make sure to clean out the vacuum cleaner after each use! No product is effective if you don't retreat. No product is effective if you don't treat and retreat the whole house and vehicles. No product is effective if you don't treat everyone in the house. Save your time and money and do it right!

Effective lice treatment and prevention, easy to use and gentle for kids.
I bought this product and sent it to Cuba for my niece because she was suffering from lice at school, and it was very stressful for her and my family. After using this product, she hasn’t gotten lice again, and we are so relieved and happy. My family told me it was easy to use and gentle on her hair, and it helped eliminate the problem and prevent it from coming back. For a child, that is very important, especially when lice spread so easily at school. Even though I couldn’t take a picture because I sent it overseas, I wanted to leave this review because it truly helped my niece. This product gave us peace of mind and saved us from a very difficult situation. I would definitely buy it again and highly recommend it to parents who are dealing with lice problems at school.

Good product - Poor package last time
I bought this many times in the past year. Use this for my kids. Really nice products. Works the way it expected to be. But the recent product package/delivery is not good. Inside it is open and half of the liquid is spilled. The original paper box inside is soaked and torn. I tried replacement item first. But Amazon app told me to resend the package. But it is broken, spilled, soaked and torn. Then I called Amazon and explained. They returned the money. So all in all a mixed experience. I'm ordering new item now.

It WORKS. Always have on hand!
This stuff smells like licorice & I hate that TBH / but let’s be real, no one is using this because of the scent & I'm positive it could smell a ton worse - I’d still use it. So I came across this gem when my son got lice from preschool or a play date. Idk. Whatever. It happens. I was panicked because - the whole washing & drying everything you own, frantically vacuuming, then the head/hair treatments & combing? Good grief there has to be an easier way. Low & behold: this stuff. I highly reccomend buying disposable shower caps or the ones you use for dying hair? Saturate everyone’s head & hair in this, cover it, put a towel around the neck because it leaks (it’s water consistency & your head is soaked) but it doesn’t colorfast or damage fabric!!! I left it on my sons head for 30 mins by the time I took off the cap & there were dead lice ON the shower cap, on his ears they tried to escape before this stuff dehydrated them from the inside out. It’s a very high salt concentrate so it killed everything & while it says you don’t have to comb, I did just to see what was all in his hair - so much! All dead. All of it. I then let the product dry in his hair & stay overnight. Same for myself with waist length hair. If you have long hair (esp if curly or textured) do NOT attempt to comb - it is like salt water & dries your hair a bit. Of course you can condition after it’s done it’s job but it makes it hard to comb textured or dry natured hair. Just soak your hair, wrap it up, cover it, let it sit a solid 30-60 mins & then uncover, it says to let it dry completely but I never have on my hair because it takes 2 days to dry naturally lol. This stuff works though. Completely. The first time. Because of the way it works, it will work on all this resistant lice they talk about now too. I have 2 big bottles of this in my bathroom closet as a preparation for next time. We’ve dealt twice & I'm sure we will again as my kid is only in kindergarten. Good to have on hand. Sometimes stores run out of it fast, esp if you get the word it’s going around school, good luck finding this in stores - everyone is learning this is way better than poisoning yourself & combing. This you don’t even have to comb but it comes with one because some schools have a No Nit policy where if they see eggs (even if dead with this stuff) your kid can’t return to school. So know it includes one but you don’t NEED to remove them. Wait till it’s dry (or been on for sufficient time then let it dry a little more) wash & be on your way to normalcy again.
