Great Fan!
I bought this fan to use it for a make shift air filter with 4 air filters stuck together. I also bought a Chinese knock off.. This fan is so much better it's not even funny. The fan fell out of a window I had it in from a big gust of wind. I thought for sure it was busted or some of the slots in the grill would be broken. It was completely fine. I had the knockoff get blown out of a window as well, and it was totally screwed. The grill broke into a bunch of pieces, so not I have that out at my cabin where I plan to jury rig some kind of screen over it so my kids don't mess with it. This fan is built to last, and it moves a ton of air even on the lowest setting. I will say though, it's pretty loud, but I don't mind that, I need it to move air...

Works Fantastic as poor mans shop filter!
So here Here's the rundown. I bought this with the sole purpose of filtering the air in my garage as I did a lot of concrete resurfacing and the small harmful particulate got everywhere even after airing out the garage for a week.If you're going to use it in a similar way I ran into a couple minor issues. First being that the dimensions of this box fan mean that the 20 x 20 furnace filters DO NOT completely envelope the mesh. It remains about 1/2" too short width and a good 1-2" short vertical. Not an issue a strip of wide non stick painters tape fixed this and as I wanted to insure the filter didn't shift when the fan was off I ended up taping all the sides anyway so the overlap covered any part of the intake screen not covered by the filter.Second (this goes for all box fans not just this one) ... Do NOT use a high MERV or FPR rated furnace filter; Stick with 4-5 FPR NO Higher! And you should use the Green/Black washable that have an FPR of 5. They also filter out smoke which is nice.Place all filters at the rear of the fans so they pull air through them and make certain you pay attention to which way the arrow points for filter flow.Like other have said the Air King is noticeably louder than the cheaper Box fans. It is also however much more robust and lasts. I bought this in 2018 and have run it 24/7 in my garage ever since changing filters every 3months. It's still running strong, I wouldn't recommend it for job site use as its better utilized where you can set it and forget it. The lowest speed puts out about just a little under a Lasko on 2 but much quieter.

This thing BLOWS (in a good way)
From afar this thing just looks like a normal box fan. The knob to turn it on is basically identical to most box fans and the hardware (screens, cord, handle, screws, etc.) don't look like anything too special, HOWEVER, take a closer look and you see this thing really is commercial grade. It is slightly larger than a normal box fan and BARELY fits in my standard size window and is almost twice the width of a standard fan. The electric motor in this thing is HUGE and powerful. Most importantly, this thing really moves a lot of air. I use it to vent my entire apartment by having it blow out of one window so fresh air can come in through all my other windows. For this purpose it is great. Even on low this thing is powerful. On high it sounds like an airplane taking off!! Do not expect a "whisper quiet" experience, as this fan is very loud, especially on high. Not annoying, but still loud. However on the low setting, it is about as loud as a normal box fan, so totally acceptable! Very happy with this purchase! Replaced my AC system and saved me a ton on my electric bills.

What you'd expect - sturdy, moves a lot of air, and makes a lot of noise
Thought I was purchasing a new product, but the label on the package clearly states Returned Merchandise. I don't even know if it made it back to an Amazon warehouse for an inspection before being re-packaged.It's only day 1 so I can't speak to longevity, but I purchased this to compare with a Lasko Cyclone Power Air Circulator that I picked up at Target. TLDR; the Lasko works better for my use (in an apartment), but I do like the Air King.I live in AZ and I'm working at home due to the COVID pandemic. I'm home almost all the time and it's currently July. 2nd story apartment with concrete/brick walls, a large kitchen/dining/living space with a high vaulted ceiling, and no ceiling fans. There are only 3 air vents in the entire apartment and they pump out ice cold air, but there's just not enough coming out. AC runs 24/7 at the lowest setting and the temperature averages 82-84 °F from about 10am until 2am. Blinds and windows are closed almost all the time. I need something to help circulate air, that I can run while watching TV, cooking, sleeping, etc.I purchased the Air King to circulate air through the large living space. It does this very well, but there are some draw backs.1) It's loud. There are 3 speed settings, whereas the Lasko has 4. The Air King on high moves more air, but it's louder on all settings. As far as volume is concerned, the Air King on 2 is about the same as the Lasko on 4.2) As expeced, it's industrial. I believe it will last a long time and take a beating in this heat, unfortunately, it's missing one small detail. There are no feet, so if it's set on a slippery surface the fan speed will slowly move this across the surface. I thought I would leave it on a TV tray table at the end of the room to get it off the ground, but it vibrates right off. I will need sticky tape or friction pads.3) Compared to the Lasko, there's no features. No remote, no digital timer, and there is no base that allows you to tilt it. I knew this when I purchased it and I'm indifferent to the lack of digital controls - I was excited to plug this into a smart outlet so I could control it with Google. Unfortunately, after using it these missing features make a big difference - especially the lack of tilt.Ignoring the Air King's speed setting of 3, the Lasko feels like it's pushing out a similar amount of air, does so with less noise, can be tilted (or wall mounted), and has a remote. On the highest settings the Air King noticably pushes more air. Both box fans push far more air than my standard oscillating fan. If I was using this in a garage, on a worksite, or outside, I'd take the Air King every time because it feels much more durable and pushes more air on high. That being said, to circulate air in a large, hot, AZ apartment I'll take the Lasko every time. The features and noise are a good trade-off for the slightly reduced air flow.

Worth the extra cost
Chose this box fan after seeing a youtube review of Corsi box fan filter builds, and after decades of more generic box fans, this one is a revelation. It feels much more powerful and effective at moving air than any other box fan I've owned. It's seems little louder at high speed, but the noise is worth it.
