Best food for a cat with UTIs
My cat needed prescription food, this has worked just as well. Keeps her from the hairballs and most importantly uti infections.

Cat Loved It!
I have a very particular cat. Well, I guess all cats are particular - especially when it comes to what foods that they eat. My little King became ill and I was told before that kidney disease is the "silent killer" when it comes to cats. As it turned out, my previous 15 year old cat had kidney disease and died in my arms. Enough of that, when my little fur baby got sick, I worried about his urinary health. So, I bought a case of this food to get him through. Guess what? Mr. Picky loved it AND he is - literally - going through zoomies as I write this review. I DO wish it was a bit cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for. It was good cat food, seemed to be high with nutrition, did not cause diarrhea, and was not very thick at all. If you feed your cat wet food. Be sure to always stir before serving!

My cat likes this
I have an older male cat and am using this to supplement his daily diet. The cans are small but it has quality ingredients, and he likes it and always eats it right away, so it must taste good to him.

It works, but product consistency changes. Just ordered my third case
I have been using this food for over 2 months. For years I had been getting Hills CD-urinary care from the vet. My cat is INCREDIBLY susceptible to UTIs and I was terrified to expose her to any other kind of food. I did a lot of research and ingredient shopping/comparing across many, many brands. Including BLUE Wilderness. This is the one that I kept coming back to. So, I made the leap. Price wise it was worth a shot (or keep overpaying at the vet) The first case of food I got matched the same conistency I had been getting from the vet (Hills CD-urinary care). My cat didn't seem to notice one bit of difference. I carefully monitored her litter box and after about a month, sighed with relief. She maintained a healthy urinary flow (and BM) and was still her happy self with no sign of discomfort or stress. I was so excited! Cheaper food without a vet visit! i ordered another case. The second case arrived and I when I opened the first can, the consistency was different. More loose and wet. I was a bit worried. The previous food was could be scooped an maintain its shape. This needed a spoon. I felt some wind leave my sail, but I put it on her plate anyway. She noticed the difference too. She smelled it and investigated instead of diving right in. She finally started nibbling on it. I have continued to monitor her litter box movements and there have been no concerns. She eats this with no hesitation now. I have just ordered a third case and am anxious to see the consistency. Maybe it's a change in product manufacturing. Maybe it's a change in formula. Maybe it's a reaction to shipment. I don't know. This food seems to be working for my very sensitive kitty who has cost me way too much over the years (she is 13) with UTI issues.

As good as the Prescription version (perhaps)
I have two boy cats, one that has UTI and hairball issues. For the past 2-3 years they have enjoyed Hills Prescription Diet c/d (they share and per my vet, no issues/concerns with sharing this particular food). Anyway, as costs everywhere keep increasing, I found myself struggling to keep them on the Prescription food. Thankful for this version, as it reads close to the Prescription Diet and is about 1/3rd less in cost. My only question to Hills is: what will they transition to when they are seniors? For now though, my fur-men and I are happy with this option. PS: To add to the moisture content and flavor profile, I add these to their wet food (which I've been doing since on the Prescription diet) (Purrly Lickable Wet Cat Treats , found here on Amazon). Check them out as they read as being healthy, and my cats get excited when I open a packet.

A good compromise between prescription and regular
My cat was diagnosed with severe cystitis about a year ago but I couldn’t afford to put him and my second cat on prescription wet food when they eat from each others bowls. I tried the purina urinary first, and didn’t notice symptom improvement. I’ve noticed a big difference with the Hills. The Hills seems to also have a lot more moisture, and the cats prefer the flavor. My cat’s biggest issue was peeing outside the box due to pain, and that has decreased significantly. His labs and urinalysis have also gone back to completely normal. It is more expensive than some of the competitors, but it is more effective, and still less expensive than prescription. I’ve also switched my cats to the Hills urinary hairball kibble, and their tummies have been comfortable and happy.
