I pretty much never leave reviews. This is one of those rare products that has actually changed my life.When I was a 25 y/o living in Chicago I read on a forum about skin care. One of the main companies the guy recommended was MenScience. I've tried just about everything they make and the one product that has stuck is this lotion. I'm now 39 and turn 40 in a few months. Since then I've lived in Brooklyn, Denver/Boulder, Austin, LA, San Francisco, Barcelona and Stockholm. I've consistently used this daily the entire time. I regularly work with people in their 20s and EVERYONE of them thinks I'm 28 or 29.I simply have to attribute this to regularly using this lotion. As other people have stated it goes on completely clean and is unscented. It won't leave any residue. In more humid climates I only need to use a little bit. In CO I sometimes would put it on twice a day (especially at altitude in the mountains where it's very dry).Again, I CANNOT recommend this lotion more highly. I have had two time periods where I tested other brands as well. Most of my other body products are Whole Foodsey - try to look for no parabens, no sulfates, etc. etc. because I've read about what actually goes into them. This lotion doesn't fall into that category...it is made with things I wouldn't normally use. HOWEVER, it works. I think I've tried around 12 other lotions from companies like every man jack and eo. They were all oily, or made my skin look a little shiny, or had a small scent. They just didn't compare.I even take this stuff camping. It's the ONE product I always travel with as well. I remember when I was younger that I tested using it/not using it for a week and my skin even broke out a little more. It really is a fantastic product.Some recommendations: when you travel (if in an airplane or altitude changes) OPEN UPSIDE DOWN at first. There will be an air pocket created and it can kind of start to leak. If you put that air pocket where the cap is by turning upside down and shaking the bottle a little it won't leak. Also, massage it on slowly, give your skin a little time to absorb it. I've been told this makes your skin more plastic (prevents wrinkles) and I've noticed it absorbs better.I'm not the best at using sun screen, but this pairs well if you put it on first since it dries without being oily. If you use this with sun screen you'll really stay looking great!TLDR; Get this, use it daily, look young.

I've been using the Menscience Advanced Face Lotion for years. Great moisturizing for the face, without making your skin oily or causing pimples. But OMG, the current price per ounce is outrageous. I will unfortunately have to switch. :-(

This is an excellent product. Fragrance is neutral, and I prefer it that way. The product does what it is supposed to. It moisturizes without bring oily or greasy. A little goes a long way and it leaves a soft satin finish, unlike some products that leave a shiny finish on the skin. I would say it is one of the best face moisturizers I have ever used. Totally recommend!

I bought this because of the reviews, and at first I was satisfied. The thing about this is that it leaves a film on your skin. On the face it's not so noticable and makes your skin 'feel' soft, but on your hands it's slick and I always have to wash my hands off as if it were hair product. The other huge downside is the lack of an SPF. I think all skincare products for your face should have at least an SPF15, and I sure did miss it when I went skiing and got burned. I prefer the proactiv moisturizer over this because it leaves no greasy feeling on your face or hands and has SPF15/30. I just don't like giving my money to them, so that's how I ended up trying this product.

This is the second tube I have ordered. I like the product for several reasons. It has a matte finish. Most female moisturizers leave a wet or shiny finish. As a guy, I prefer the flat finish of menscience. There is minimal scent, so it does not compete with your cologne or other products. Advance face lotion is also an effective moisturizer. Since I have begun using it my colleagues comment that I look well rested. More importantly, my skin looks more healthy. Being oil free, it does not break me out in areas like other products I have used. It is an expensive lotion, but it does the job it was made for and does it well.

I really wanted to like this product because it has a lot of effective ingredients (like glycolic acid, acetyl glucosamine, sodium hyaluronate, etc) for several aspects of skincare and it’s one of only a few brands made for men. It is also in scented - or has a very light scent anyway. While it does help even skin tone, my main complaint is the poor moisturizing performance. That really is the main requirement for moisturizers. Whether I apply a small or generous amount, my skin feels dry enough within an hour or 2 that I feel I need to moisturize again. Also, this is NOT a matte finish and leaves your skin (or at least mine) semi-shiny - not quite a sweaty look, but somewhere between that and matte. After applying, it feels like there is a thin coating of plastic or something over the skin and is not a comfortable or natural feeling. The tube says “lightweight” but it is quite the opposite! This is one of the most heavy and greasy feeling creams I have used. It does not feel lightweight AT ALL. The last issue I have is that if I rub my face after using this, it peels off into little tiny gross…crumbs? For me, this is probably the worst moisturizer I can remember using. But people have different skin types (mine is normal/combination) so it may work better for you. For this price, though, it should be easy to find a better moisturizer.

I have been using this product for years and have to admit; I start to panic when I'm running low. The constant compliments I get about my youthful clear completion are great. I'm 45 live in Central London and I smoke. The active ingredients really do their stuff. Just read the label and it really holds it's own against much more expensive products. There is no sun protection so use a additional SPF and you won't go wrong. I love this product and it's supporting everyday face wash. An easy habit to get into.There is a sting to it when you first start using it, particularly after shaving. It's just letting you know it's doing its job.I would (and have) recommend this to everyone. It's great.

Like the product as i noticed a change within the first two days. But i think its too expensive for the quantity.

I've used this product once before, about 10 years ago and it was great. I don't remember it having a strange smell like it does now. Hard to explain, the best way I can describe it is as a strong "unsecnted smell". It's not very nice and my girlfriend has complained about it too. I'm using it as a night cream now.
