I ordered a 2 inch fine thread adapter from another seller. It was too small. I made the mistake so I am eating it. Next I ordered a larger one from another company. I got a cap clearly marked 2 inch. I returned it because it was seller's mistake.This one works. It is a coarse thread piece that screws onto the fine thread piece. It fit the IBC food grade tote. It went on good and tight. There is an O Ring on the garden hose part to help it seal.I am going to use the IBC tote for water and hook a battery powered pump to it. I am clearing the land. I'm going to be burning the brush in a pit. This way I'll be able to do it safely.Now if the wind would die down so I can burn. :)

Prior to finding this product, we pieced together something similar to be able to hook up a hose to our rain barrel/ibc tote. This was life-changing for us. Easy to use!! Built well.

I was really impressed by this product. After reading some complains about leaks, I was concerned when I made my purchase. Fortunately, the product easily and completely sealed against my IBC tote, and I have had absolutely no issues.Additionally, the valves are easy to open and close. I have purchased many garden hose splitters that have similar valves which stick, and require pliers or another tool to open and close the valves. Not so with this product; the valves open and close easily by hand, and again have no drips or leaks. I have absolutely no complaints. Five stars!

So I was really happy with this, took it out and it connected right up to my IBC tote in about two seconds. Then I connected my hose to it, pretty standard garden hose, and had no problem. My system will be gravity fed, and with the tote barely 1/10 filled with rain water, the hose had water coming out the end. Pretty awesome.The only thing I found odd was that I knew I needed a fine thread fitting, and that's exactly what's advertised here ("This is an IBC tote adapter 2.44" Fine Thread with hose faucet valve which fits most standard US IBC containers/ton barrels or other plastic barrels.") But when the package came, I was like, "uh-oh," because it says right on the label that it's "coarse thread."The fact is, it worked, but whether the tote outlet is actually coarse thread or the package was just mislabeled, I can't say.

My brass ball valve leaked at the 1" fitting part. They give you an O ring that does nothing to prevent a leak. Yes, I put lots of thread tape on it. I had to screw in the brass faucet part into the 1" plastic hole so tightly that it forced me to cut off one of the wings to make it open/close. good ole jerry rigging did the trick. If you're thinking of running a water pump off your tote. I would seriously consider one of these. I was stupid for minimizing my intake down to 3/4" hose versus the factory size 1" inlet.
