A counter that isn't doing the best counting, this one didn't quite meet expectations.
I really wanted this to be a success, but my experience with it has not been the best. The positives is that the counter is easy to set up. You take it out of the packaging, unscrew the top and put in 2 AA batteries and you're ready to start. The only other positives would be that it's a nice-size container which means it can hold a lot and the numbers are big and clear. My problem with the counter is not the look of it but the execution. It has not recognized pennies as pennies every time, sometimes registering them as dimes. Might seem like a little thing if the other denominations are working, but 9 cents difference adds up.Now it is easy to reset with the button on the bottom of the counter's top, but the miscalculation messes everything up.Good for storage of your money, but I'm not sure I'm trusting it to accurately count the money that is going on.

Not Accurate
I purchased this item for my 7 year old. It didn’t count pennies accurately and we had to reset it several times. There is no way to subtract an amount if you remove money you would have to start over again. It has a spring loaded slot where you push the coins through and it is not easy to push the larger coins through for smaller children. I would not purchase this item again.

Horrible functionality. Doesn't count accurately. Impossible for people or children to use.
Horrible. Do Not waste your money on this. I wish I could give it a zero. It technically does hold money, but so would any empty vessel with the same accuracy this does. I bought for our 6 and 4.5 year olds and should have returned these when I could.Reasons this sucks include:* The coin counting mechanism is impossible to use for tiny hands. The spring used to "measure" coins put in the coin slot is too hard for the children to put in and it counts inaccurately most times.* There is no way to see the amount unless you add more money to it. Which generally fails (see above).* If you enter a bill amount wrong, there is no way to correct it other than fully resetting the amount and reentering all the money. As much as Iike feeling like Scrooge McDuck and counting money all the time, this is painful when children accidentally hit the wrong button but REALLY want the number to be accurate.* I bought two and both of them are extremely hard to screw the top back onto the canister.Bottom Line: Don't waste your money on this one.

It is not quite reliable. In many cases, it counts dimes as cents or something else. Also, when you add money in it and after sometime if you want to see how much it has, there is no button to show that. You have to insert coins and in order for the screen to light up.

I think it's a great tool to help kids learn how to count money
Some of the change wasn't counted correctly. Overall, I think it's a great tool to help kids learn how to count money.

very disappointed in this item
very disappointed in this item. my almost three-year-old was so excited to use her new money counter and we had issues right out of the box. It was VERY difficult to put coins in, and when we did put a quarter in we had multiple results...sometimes it was a quarter, sometimes it showed as a nickel, and sometimes it didn’t show up at all on the counter. the buttons were also very sensitive so the "count" was NEVER right.

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money! Does not accurately keep track of coins put into jar, messes up the amount, i.e.: put in a quarter and it thinks it's a dime. It really hasn't correctly calculated any coin we've put into it. Very dissappointed!
