This hose comes with everything you need to connect a Mr Heater Big Buddy to a 20 # LP (BBQ grill) tank.This hose has a regulator that reduces the tank pressure down to .4 to .5 psi for the heater.LP Tank pressure varies based on ambient temperature.@ 100 deg F, tank pressure = 172 psi@ 70 deg F = 145 psi@ 30 deg F = 51 psi@ 0 deg F = 23.5 psiThe regulator keeps the quick connect 12 ft hose pressure around .5 psi.This quick connect is a better system than using other type hoses which connect the tank pressure directly to the 1 lb tank regulators (part 78544) inside the Big Buddy, and require a special fuel filter ( part F273699).By running high tank pressure through the hose, plasticizers (basically oils) in the hose materials, will leech into the hose and will accumulate in the tubing inside the heater, causing eventual heater failure by plugging the lines. That is why a special filter is required to trap the contaminants from the hose before it reaches the heater. Plus the filters should be changed every year.This hose system appears well built. The connections worked well.If I experience any issues I will update this review.

Hook one end to the propane tank (bleed the air from the hose) and the other to the big buddy heater, light the pilot and your good to go.

Trying to find one made by Buddy was real hard to find.Got this off Amazon Works perfectly

Great hose. Liked it so much that I recommended it to a family member. Was shocked to find out later that he paid over $40 dollars for the same line that I had just purchased some two weeks prior for $23 bucks. Therefore 4 stars!

This works just like it's supposed to and is much cheaper than the equivalent Mr. Heater product

I bought it for the MR Heater Big Buddy after feeling that the official hose was pricey. With the regulator I guess it makes it a low pressure hose which I think mitigates the concern I have read about related to an oily substance clogging up the heater. Mr Heater does sells a non regulated hose that supposedly has a different composition that supposedly will not generate that oily substance-- I also believe that if it has a regulator you do not need to use a filter. I turn off the supply and let it burn out the fuel in hopes of avoiding problems.

I recently purchased a Mr. Heater Big Buddy. It can certainly throw out some heat. However, it goes thru those Coleman cylinders at a devastating rate. The manual says you can get up to 6 hours on one tank. I can’t get much more than 3 hours on lowest setting.This is exactly the hose you need. Everything is here. You don’t need filters using a direct connect hose. So, by hooking this up to a 20lb tank, you will be surprised how cheap Mr. Heater is to operate. It connects nice and solid, as well. If you plan on using your heater a lot, this will save you some money.
