StetsonDrifter Western Hat

This hat is EVERYTHING I was hoping for! The packaging was exquisite. The hat was in perfect condition and also came a day sooner than expected! I feel like this hat is the perfect combo hat between a rancher and cowboy style! I got it for myself. I am a female and I think it’s a great unisex hat. I also got mine in black. Lastly, the quality of this Stetson hat well, (Stetson hats in general) are one of a kind! You will not be disappointed! 5 stars for sure!

Hat was perfect and sized exactly as expected!

Bought this hat last spring, sand due to its material, only began wearing it regularly when the weather cooled in October. I am very happy with it and really enjoy wearing it.Pros: Taupe color looks great and appears as shown. Pinch-front is quite attractive. Shape was perfect and in brand new condition. Soft felt is quite warm in cold weather. Brim helps keep chill off of ears.Cons: It's larger than stated, more of a 7 + 1/2 than 7 + 3/8. However, inserting a $3 felt strip under the headband made it fit great. (Hats in stores even tend to vary with the same size not always consistent). The headband was cheap, but added a very nice headband for $18 on Amazon which worked beautifully. So despite the cons, I love this hat, look forward to wearing it every day, and still think it's a good value...

Like others have noticed, it looks like the hat was assembled by a cross-eyed person or possibly someone with one leg longer than the other. Everything's off just a little. Not sure why the liner isn't attached to anything at all.I tried to find something out about these hats before I got it, but there is virtually nothing outside the Amazon reviews. I even contacted Stetson, who sent a canned non-answer to my questions, so I really knew nothing about the felt. I don't need to know exact percentages or anything like that, but knowing what furs are in it (is it mostly bison? Mostly rabbit? Is there any beaver?) and things like "Does it share the weaknesses of wool or is it more of a true fur felt?" "How does it stand up to rain and snow compared to rabbit?" Basically the things a buyer would need to know beyond the brand name.I buy hats to wear every day. Their job is to keep the sun off my ears and face and the rain off my head. Much the same reasons John Stetson made the western hat, but Stetson has forgotten that. They make hats to sell and forget what people buy them for. I'm sure they're just a decoration for some people, but from the first time prehistoric man threw a hide over his head to keep the rain off, they've also had a job to do.I walked across the yard wearing it while it was beginning to rain. Today, there are raised bumps in the felt where the rain hit it. A little research shows this problem to be unique to Stetsons for some reason. Their more expensive beaver felt doesn't do it, but for some reason this does. I'm going to find out if it's something I can fix, but this is terrible for a $100 hat.A hat is equipment. I do not and will not baby any equipment. That just encourages bad designs and builds. It will do its job or die trying and, if it fails, I'll buy something better.I do like the looks of the hat and, like all Stetsons, it was true to size. It felt comfortable on my head after about 10 minutes out of the box.

great hat for those that want a sporty hat but not a western hat

Fits my husbands small but round bald head! he says it is made well & comfortable to wear! He wears it everyday on tractor on the ranch.

Nice fit and will mold to your head in a short time. High quality and good bang for the buck
