Second Chance Contract

I really enjoyed this book. Right from the beginning, I could feel the angst and heartache building between Julian and Autumn. So, I did want to say that I had no issue with Julian calling Autumn 'Kid". I found it funny and endearing. It just showed Julian's and Autumn's relationship that he would call her "kid' to tease her and show her he loves her.Regarding the contract that Julian wrote up for Autumn was giving me some Fifty Shades vibes. Loved how Autumn responded with her snarky comments to the contract. She would make Julian work hard for their relationship. Which I do have to admit that he did deserve it for what he did to Autumn ten years ago.Some favorite passages:"Autumn didn't realize she'd just signed...Her future with me.""And with that first kiss, he declared war.""He knocked me senseless, professing, How could I forget? It was the only kiss that has ever mattered to me.""Julian looked like he was made exclusively for sex."'My world, my heart, my soul"

Second Chance Contract has multiple tropes, the banter is point on, steam is low but the tension is high, no cheating, no lying, no cliffhanger and a HEA. But IMHO this author should've used a different nickname and the timeline of a week to "reconnect" is not believable, editing could've been better. So, my rating is 3.5 stars! Julian Locke went from foster home to foster home, met Christian Tory and became best friends. The Tory family took him in and gave him a good life and he walked away without a word 10 years ago. He took the love of classic cars and built a company and is now a billionaire. His company is about to go public and because his personal life is so private he needs a publicist and the board hired the best, Autumn Tory. Autumn Tory has loved Julian her whole life but her brother being so over protective warned Julian to stay away from her. He was her first for everything and tore her world apart when he told her he didn't love her and she was just a easy lay then walked away. Now, she's the one in charge of his life for the next week, she will do the job, get her promotion and walk away and back to the daughter that Julian has no idea that he has. But Julian has other plans, he draws up a contract that requires her to be with him 24/7 for the next 7 days. He tells her he loves her and wants her back and sets out to prove it to her.

It was all there in black ink on white paper. “Autumn was born to be mine.” “She was made for me.”I cried along with both these characters..there is nothing better than a couple who falls in love in high school ..one walks away..then freaking FATE has other plans.This book took a page out of How to Lose a Guy in ten Days but in reverse. Julian spilled his heart out in the front page of the NYTimes. He had built her a ranch from the memories of her day dreams as a 17 yr old.And they fought ..the push and pull of this publicist ( his staff hired her to improve his image ) coming face to face with the only man she ever loved , a rags to riches ..from foster care to billionaire..Julian Locke is the Alpha CEO .The plot twist at halfway gave them another reason to fight..because all of their past is now out on the floor. . I would have liked our FMC to not run away or push him away so much, and their dragging the past up got to be a little much . All in all this book was like a warm hug that I so definitely needed 💗

I've never experienced a second chance romance and I don't want to unless I lose what I have now, because he is everything I need. Anyways, I very much love reading second chance and I loved everything about this book. I'm excited to finally read this series. Barely half way through and we get a surprise. The demanding, alpha CEO and his groveling was perfect. It's heartbreaking what both characters had to go through. This author is the queen on angst for a reason.

I’ve always been a big fan of M. Robinson’s books but definitely the second chance man have my heart. I loved every single second of this book, I’ve read it so many times I’ve lost count by now. If you haven’t pick this book yet WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR STOP MISSING OUT

This was really good! Perfect second chance story! I loved the way he wanted her and planned for her! I really look forward to reading the rest of her books!

When this started out I was sure it would be maybe a four star read…maybe. But then I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Hands down it’s at least a five star book! I loved Julian and Autumn…oh and Capri too!! What a wonderful story!!

Let me start off by saying this was such an amazing book, the twists, turns, and heart breaks have you truly rooting for Autumn and Julian. Their chemistry is like no other and when they show emotion, YOU show emotion, like you're right there with them, feeling every heart string pulled.

Been following the author on instagram for a while (always great content drawing you in with teases of books) and was wondering what book to start with. When she had this pop up with a free read offer while I was on holiday I new I had to download quick. Couldn’t put it down, think I read it in a few hours. Well it was raining outside so what else was I to do.Julian needs to rebrand his image and his firm know just the person for the job. Seems that Julian knows the person all too well also. One look and Autumn and him are right back in the crazy chemistry filled chaos that swirled around them the first time round years before. Can she rebrand him into the version of the man she once new while protecting her heart at the same time? Well she has a few weeks working in close contact so lets see what happens next.Loved that the past was only drip fed into present day so you never really knew completely what happened in the past between them and how it went wrong. Good that you slowly get information to change your opinion of the characters the further you go along. A way to show how they are wanting to start again fresh when they are both emotionally ready to take the next step. They were always going to be right for each other, they just needed a little more time to see things through.Hot and steamy in all the right places, what a way to learn the ropes! Man alive the chemistry between these two is crazy hot. The more they try to deny it the stronger the pull in both the past and present day. You can see why Autumn would want to try and keep some sort of distance, even though they are now working together, with how Julian stomped all over her heart years before. With the secret she has been keeping from him though trouble could be brewing more than she first thought.Can they clear the air about the past to build a better present and future or will misunderstandings and waiting approvals from a certain brother cause them to stay apart when all they want, have ever wanted, is each other?Definitely want to continue with the series and check out what other books are available if this one is anything to go by.

This book is primarily a second chance romance, tied together with a brothers best friend romance and even a little enemies to lovers. It covers 3 popular troupes and it does it well.The book consists of both present day scenes, and chapters flashing back to Julian and Autumns past. These scenes were really imperative in helping us get the full story as to why the characters were who they were now. I felt their anguish and their passion throughout.Julian was a straight up alpha - I mean.. just the gorgeous cover makes him look like that… but the way he was written was just wow. Yes he was an a**hole, yes he was arrogant, but he was also every single thing that worked for me including being a dominant passionate, straight up dirty talker. Totally swoony! His dedication and devotion to Autumn really moved me, and I was rooting for him despite their somewhat strained past.The chemistry and the tension this book created had me sitting on the edge of my seat turning the pages and the spicy scenes were hot!!Autumn had her own personal growth journey throughout the book. It was actually really satisfying to read about her past, then seeing her stand up for herself and take no prisoners in present day. I loved the sass she was throwing out at Julian so much. Those were some of my favourite bits!I really could go on and on about what else I loved, the number of highlights I made says it all.. but if you’re a fan of the troupes I mentioned, or you love sinking your teeth into a strong, sometimes bullish, but good hearted alpha.. then read this. You won’t regret it.

I want to start by saying that I do think someone else could really enjoy this book, it just wasn’t for me.I started off really enjoying this book, however as soon as it was found out they had a kid it just went a bit down hill for me. I usually love the surprise baby trope but I just found it made their relationship so much more toxic and the kid was really annoying. I also didn’t enjoy the dual timeline I feel like it didn’t add to the story and I found myself flicking through the chapters. For what was a short book, I feel it could have been a lot shorter.

The queen of angst returns with this endearing romance between two beautifully written characters who fall in love but out of a sense of obligation are ripped apart. Ten years into the future these two fated characters are forced together, only one is arrogant and driven and the other wears her heartbreak like a suit of armour.This time around one is wiser and not falling for the games and the other is trying to make up for the past. It's angst filled, rollercoaster ride of emotional turmoil. There's subtle hints of persuasion by people using their own agenda thinking they are right keeping these two apart. It's beautifully written with a simple storyline perfectly delivered.Definitely a heartstrings page turner and well worth a look. M Robinson you have done it again.... Facts!☺☺

Firstly I need to say I am a big fan of M. Robinson and was excited for.this book release. It pains me to say it, but I found it dull and a bit mediocre . It was just 'nice', there was just not enough angst and lacked that 'edgy' feel. Cristian was most definitely not Alpha enough. I really was expecting so much more. Feel a little bit cheated, just not my cup of tea, sorry Monica!
