Incredible power
For most applications you won’t be able to tell the difference between regular batteries and the powerstack. But for very high discharge tools like hammer drill on thick concrete the difference is massive. The tool speed is much higher and you can actually drill more holes before recharging. I am comparing the 3 amp regular lithium ion vs the 1.8 amp powerstack. The regular battery is almost unusable while the powerstack frees the drill to do what it is designed to. The regular battery gets very hot while the powerstack stays cool. Very impressive. And much cheaper on Amazon.

Surprised how much I like them
They won't power a grinder for a full job, but for a drill or oscillator or impact it has plenty of juice for a regular home owner repairs. Like how not bulky and light they are. I still have plenty of 6ah an 9ah for my blowers, bandsaw and SDS hammer drill, but these have their use.

Better than advertised
Im an industrial mechanic. I haven't tried these on my impacts or my battery eating grinder but they are perfect on my ratchet. The Dewalt ratchet is kinda big compared to other brands. I didn't want a 4ah or 5ah to make it even more cumbersome. These are a 1.7ah if I remember right and work well with the ratchet. I bought 2 because I thought I would need the second but I haven't had to swap so far. The pis show a comparison between these and a 5ah.

Positive and negatives for this battery
Positives: charges very quickly, runs my DeWalt vacuum very well, as well as all my other DeWalt toolsNegatives: I wish the battery would last longer, but I guess that is the trade-off between size and run time.Overall, I would recommend these batteries, but I would suggest that you get some higher amp-hour batteries as well.

Dewalt 1.7 ah Powerstack: Cells manufactured in China. Pack assembled in China. BUYER BEWARE!
I find, generally, that American made products are higher quality than, say, products produced in China. I also, generally, choose not to support the Chinese Communist Party. I generally, therefore, try to buy American made products. The way manufacturing has been moved overseas, it's hard to adhere to the policy...but I try. I just bought (2) 20 volt Max 1.7 ah Powerstack batteries for a new tool. Unlike the standard 2ah batteries that came with the tool/s, (cells manufactured in Malaysia and pack assembled in Mexico) the cells in the 20 volt Max 1.7 ah batteries were made in China and the pack was assembled in China. I'm not sure yet how well these batteries will work but, BUYER BEWARE.
