Digital PL368 AM/FM/LW/SW Worldband Radio with Single Side Band Receiver (Orange)

Works great, shortwave reception is clear and crisp, the noise floor is low, and is easy to use for those of us who have experience with the PL-880 portable (most of the buttons have identical functions). Frequency coverage is printed right on the outside of the battery cover.A homebrew longwire antenna is a must for pulling in those weak, distant stations, and the included ownwer’s manual makes programming quick and easy. Mini-USB charging cord is a plus.About the only thing missing is Bluetooth, but I wouldn’t rule it out in a future model. Overall, this little powerhouse is well worth the price, and it has features some of the bigger, more expensive shortwave receivers lack.

This is a great radio, I can scan 65 Stations at night in the MW band with the radio coupled to the whip antenna.

Impressive sensitivity even with only the ~21" whip antenna. I like the thumbwheel tuning as opposed to up/down buttons on other radios. Selectable tuning steps 5kHz, 1kHz, and 0.01kHz. Selectable bands with up/down buttons, also direct frequency entry. Pocket-sized, lightweight. USB rechargable. All nice features, but one small flaw is that it seems about 200Hz off on 10 meters compared to a communications receiver with TXCO, so minus 1 star.

Other than my AM button not working I like it. It picks up well and is loud and clear enough. It's not worth me sending it back. I had already disposed of the box and packaging. I would recommend, I am sure I just got a broken one. A+

If you need a cheap SW and HF ham band receiver (USB and LSB), this is the unit. The rechargeable battery last no less that 8 hours as well. It has auto search as well. Worth every dime. And for you CB guys, yes, this is a great 11m receiver as well, even with the stock antenna, you will hear skip from many states away. I took it apart to see what IC chip it has but the board is shielded with a metal plate, and it is soldered down so I could not see the mail chip, but it works great.

I have been looking for a small portable radio that can provide SSB coverage and thought I found it with this radio. It is very small. The feature set is extensive. The price is great. So, what is the problem? I'll start with an antenna that is not fully supported; on the radio I received. The issue becomes very apparent when tuning or adjusting volume which causes the antenna to rattle against the plastic top. How long will it take for something break requiring a new antenna or PCB repair. I was surprised to find that while the radio can tune in 10 Hz steps it does not tune in 100 Hz steps which in my opinion are more practical for SSB tuning. The sensitivity is great but the receive audio is noisy in a way that is tiring. All in all, I really want to like this radio but just can't. To me this radio takes many steps forward with the keypad, BW, SSB, but then takes steps backward due to the antenna, SSB audio, and tuning steps. I'll keep using my Sony for now.

My first night using this radio I was able to pull in stations from Cuba, Argentina, Spain and Germany from Northeastern California. It helps to use an app or website to track the best times for listening and to learn about what antenna options will work best for your target stations. The radio is very sensitive. Get the most of the radio by programming your desired stations in. Form factor is odd but great alternative to traditional form factors. Being handheld has it's advantages and it's compact size means I can drop it into my EDC bag in the morning. Battery lasts a very long time and is of course rechargeable. Eventually when the battery does need replacement, rest assured in knowing the battery is easily replaceable with cheap, readily available replacements found everywhere online. This radio has very nice features that make it a solid pick for something to carry every day.

The unit I received is compromised: the soft muting circuit doesn't work and the manual tuning is a nightmare, for this radio. I asked for a return and the dealer doesn't accept it. Complications now...Bad business... Stay away.

Estoy conforme.Lo único es que si o si tienes que usar audífonos ya que el pequeño parlante satura y no se puede apreciar la recepción para nada.Solo por eso no le doy las 5 estrellas.

Ottimo ,portatilibilissimo ,batteria infinita ,giorni di ascolto ,sensibilissimo ,sia su alte frequenze 28 MHz ,sia su basse freq ,80 MT ,anche con la sua antenna telescopica .Penso stessa circuiteria del pl 330 .Dx ( VK ,Vu ,ja ,BG etc py Lu yb ,basta essere in buona posizione,con il suo antennino di poco.piu di 50 cm ) Ricevo il fax come con neanche trx base e collegamento diretto ,metto la radio sotto volume 14 ,filtro a 4 kHz ,Telefonino poggiato in posizione dell' altoparlante ,a volte neanche un puntino di qrm .

Funziona perfettamente,uno spettacolo,si sente benissimo
